This is a great idea it has Velcro on it and you can attach patches. For some reason my pit did not like it on his neck and scratched at it continually and destroyed the patches. I finally removed the collar itself, it will not be purchasing anymore patches for it.

Unfortunately, the stitching that goes through the loop fabric makes the loop part just a tiny bit narrower than 1 inch, because it it is a bit indented (see product pics). This means that velcro patches will hang just enough over both sides that they will get caught in your dog's hair. If they could make the collar just a bit wider, so the Velcro sits tightly on the collar and doesn't touch the dog, I'd buy this again. Extremely well made and soft. It's hard to find soft collars that are soft enough for his neck. He has no fur on his chest or neck so soft is key. I got this for my Chihuahua mix, Zip, but the width is to wide at 3/4". I must have missed where the width is, but lucky for me I have other male dogs. The price is excellent for this collar! ( I will use it for my Rat Terrier or Jack Russel, both strong muscular dogs that it will be perfect for. Highly recommend this collar. ... show more
