  • Spend a little more money and get a nicer bag up front... your hands will thank you
Size: 100-Pound
This bag is not worth the cost. If you want a serious heavy bag that can be used day after day, look elsewhere. They likely won't be this cheap, but you'll end up saving money and pain in the long run. I've had this bag for 3 months now, and have used it nearly every day since I've gotten it. Here are a list of problems I've had with it since it arrived: 1) Not packed properly/safely. Like others have reported, you *need* to repack this bag from the start. Out of the box, it felt like punching concrete. A HEAVY BAG SHOULD NOT HURT TO PUNCH!. Repacking this thing was a giant pain, as it is shredded fabric and small plastic sandbags. A few of the sandbags had ruptured, and the rest had settled down to the bottom of the bag. I wasn't able to completely restuff it myself. Now the bag has "settled" again, meaning the bottom 1/3rd of the bag is too dense to be punched safely, the middle is ok, and the top 1/3d is basically floppy. Not good. 2) Broken Zipper. making it way harder to repack, the zipper was broken from the get-go. Wouldn't be a problem if the bag was packed right from the start, but here we are. 3) Failed D-Ring after a couple months. One of the D-Rings that supports the bag failed, so I had to buy a heavy duty carabiner to hang the bag from. Again, another expense that likely wouldn't be needed on a nicer bag. ... show more

  • BUYER BEWARE!!! This bag comes filled, but it'll need to be repacked to be used safely...
Size: 100-Pound
Let me start out by saying the construction and the quality of this bag are top notch. It comes with high quality steel mounting hardware (3 carabiner clips, swivel, and 10" chain), and the bag is very sturdily constructed out of high quality materials. The inside is lined with canvas, and the stitching is very thick and tight. Even the top zipper is of the self locking variety to keep the bag from opening up (pull "up" on the pull tab to unlock and unzip). BUT... The "stuffing" is where the quality stops. The bag is filled with 10 plastic bags (about the size of large ziplock bags) filled with construction sand, weighing about 5 pounds each, and shredded textile scrap (cotton/polyester/nylon/spandex etc). The problem is, these plastic sand filled bags are loose inside this textile scrap, and the slightest movement or jarring (even laying the bag on it's side) will "jiggle" these bags and force them to come to rest along the outside of the bag. If you punch one of these sand bags, you risk serious injury to your hand or wrist, and the only way to fix this problem is to repack the heavy bag. If you purchase this bag, and plan on using it safely, I suggest being prepared to repack the bag yourself. I did. I removed 5 of the 10 sand bags, and put the ones that weren't busted back into the bottom of the bag for weight. I then repacked the bag using a baseball bat to compact the stuffing and get it all in there nice and tight. Now I can use the bag safely without striking a vacuum packed sand bag. After repacking the bag, I have to say it is an amazing heavy bag. It's very sturdy, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wouldn't mind a little restuffing. Cheers! ... show more

  • works well
Size: 80-Pound
I got the 80 lb version. I didn't find that I needed to repack this - yet anyways. I always wrap my wrists and use boxing gloves when punching and haven't had any issues with it being too hard. For mounting I used my own heavy chain and screwed the ends of the chain into two different joyces in the ceiling, suspending it from a V shape of the chain. That reduced the side to side motion a lot. Then tied a rope to the d link and pulled it backward about an inch to a 3rd point behind it to reduce fore/aft motion. Last I did a V at the bottom and anchored it with string and 2 small springs to my concrete so it doesnt sway so much. Just wish I had purchased a taller version for my kicks to head and lower legs. But for punching and for hits to head to torso only it is good. ... show more

  • included hardware gave out immediately
Size: 100-Pound
This seems like a perfectly fine bag (I punch it, it doesn't punch back, not sure what else to say) BUT the top-side carabiner on the hanging chain started to stretch and bend within two days of use, no longer stays shut. I mounted it using one of the recommended Everlast ceiling mounts exactly as instructed. Believe me I'm not exactly Chuck Norris hitting this thing, but it gave out right away. I'll keep using the bag but the annoyance of ordering another clip is enough to knock down the review! ... show more

  • One of the hanging straps ripped.
Size: 80-Pound
I liked the bag at first, but the contents did settle at the bottom so I would have to take it down and spread the contents out regularly. Other than that the bag was good until one of the straps that are riveted to the top that hold the bag up ripped when I was punching one day. I would not recommend this product. ... show more

  • Good bag...but had some shipping issues.
Size: 100-Pound
Overall a great deal but the packaging was pretty banged up. It looks like it had been returned and repackaged before it was sent to me. If it was not for that I would have ranked it higher. Plus the zipper to open the bag had the zipper pull broken off. I do not plan on opening it anytime soon so that was not a big deal for me (probably why it was originally returned). Getting past the shipping issues it really is a high quality bag. Good quality hanging hardware was included. It "hits really good". If you are looking for a good, affordable heavy bag I would recommend it. ... show more

  • The best bag out there
Size: 80-Pound
I purchased this second bag after the previous bag’s straps finally snapped after six years of use. This bag has performed beautifully for over a year now, no tears, no scratches (despite kickboxing with shoes on). Highly recommend, if the size if right for your punching/kicking power.

  • Why did I wait!?
Size: 100-Pound
I absolutely love this bag. I have it hung in my garage and use it daily. I had been thinking for some time about buying one and now wish I had done it sooner. It is a great way to work out and release tension at the same time. This thing will work your core, arms, chest and back all at the same time. I didn't have any of the problems that others describe as far as the filler having settled or shifted during shipping. However, I did open the bag and ensure that it was in proper shape before hitting it. I recommend that you check yours too so as to prevent injury. You will not regret buying this bag. I also bought the hanger and the anchor and recommend them too. ... show more
