It gives that luxe look but still cozy soft so it's actually functional to sleep in rather than a purely decorative piece. At first glance out of the box it's a little wrinkly and uneven, I now assume that's from the vacuum presser's packaging because after washing it it's become even softer and more beautiful and everything has evened to a nice distressed velvet look. This quilt has so far exceeded my expectations. Very soft and I love the green color. It has a luxurious feel and look to it. Only negative thing I’ve found with it, is that it is a bit thinner of a material than others I’ve gotten from higher end stores but for the great price I would expect that.
