I had Wemo switches, but they haven’t been all that reliable. They would just stop working after some time. So what’s the use of having a switch that doesn’t work when you need them. These are much more reliable than the Wemo switches. They are also have really good privacy. You don’t even have to register any info with the company to start using them. They don’t really support Alexa or Google out of the box directly, but you can add on Matter support which will supposedly allow you to connect to those other services. Since Matter support with various manufacturers is on the new side, don’t know how good the support is yet. haven’t tried it, since I’m just decided to stick with HomeKit with threads. I just recently upgraded to the latest AppleTV which supports thread and it works much faster compared to my older AppleTV that didn’t have thread support. With threads, the more devices you add, the more better your communication is between them. It’s supposed to be more stable since if one device fails, another device will take over as the master and everything else will continue to work. I love that it has energy monitoring and is able to tell you how much watts your device is currently using. And shows how much you electricity you will using over the year. It’s also much more energy efficient than my older wifi plugs. Their app is OK, it could use some improvement, some of the settings are kind of buried too low and makes it hard to find, like names of device and adding favorites. You can have groups, but you can’t set a schedule for a group. You have to set them up individually for each item in a group, which is a pain. The group more for HomeKit where you can just tell Siri to turn on a particular group. It also just shows up as a single item within HomeKit, as opposed to the Eve app which you can still see all the individual items. One thing that the Eve app as well as Apple HomeKit cannot do is automatically turn off a device after a period of time when it’s turned on. That was one feature that Wemo was able to do. That way if you want to automatically turn off a device after it’s been left on for a period of time, you could a set a rule or automation to do that. After Belkin/Wemo turned out to be complete trash, I gave in and purchased a couple Eve units. The project is now done correctly. Eve products just work but the cost is difficult to justify so my go to is still Meross unless I need Matter.

These power plugs were very easy to add into my HomeKit home. I really like the fact that it doesn’t require an account and it’s not tracking you in anyway. The device in the Eve app also will show you how much energy the connected devices using. I was curious as to how much energy my air purifiers that I run 24/7 were using. The bonuses that these were also Matter enabled. I am waiting for maybe some sales to buy more Eve home devices. I was disgusted when I realize there was a security issue with the WeMo plug so I was using and they don’t update those so I decided to toss them. So far, this device is working well for me. I purchased a home pod Mini, and I finally decided to get a smart plug to turn on a light in the garage that has to be physically plugged in and unplugged from the to operate it. I plugged in the Eve Energy (Matter) switch in the back of the garage about 80 feet away from the house. The smart switch seems very responsive so far. The setup took a few tries. I didn't initially realize that this device is Matter only (No Wireless or Bluetooth). Since my Home Pod Mini arrived a few hours later, I was able to attempt the setup. After scanning the QR code a few times, and moving the device closer to the Home Pod Mini, the device was able to connect successfully. I got a Home Pod Mini so that I could get some Nanoleaf Essentials bulbs to work properly (the Bluetooth was like a 9 second delay beforehand and it doesn't come with wifi). Since adding the Home Pod Mini, the lights work more reliably now, and having the Eve app allows me to see the thread / bluetooth status of the Nanoleaf devices. I have not been able to figure out if the Eve app shows power consumption, but this is not really important to me at the moment. One cool thing is that I was able to add this device to Home Assistant (through Matter integration since Eve doesn't seem to have an integration), and I was able to trigger the Eve device to turn off and on with a Lutron Pico Switch. The devices seem to have no lag with the Lutron and the Eve devices sending the signals all the way back to the house. Would purchase a few more of these to trigger fans in the house etc... ... show more

These just work, add them to the Eve app or HomeKit and they rarely go offline. The power management feature is now a must for me with all electrical Smart outlet. Eve has me spoilt! Rock solid build quality too.

I have several of the original Eve Energy models and really appreciate that the new model does not cover both of my outlets. The setup process was just as easy as before. I use it to control my office lamp and verbally telling Siri to turn my light on and off is such a quality of life improvement! I plan to get more Eve Energy units to control more of my home lamps. I love the ability to schedule the lights on and off at different times. When I'm traveling, folks will think someone is at home. That feature alone sold me on Eve Energy! ... show more

I am impressed by the ease of setup and responsiveness of this smart plug. It is extremely easy to setup and everything should be up and running within five minutes. It is nice to be able to schedule my lights on and off, and you can also use the plug to turn lights on and off when you’re away to make it look like someone is at home. Additionally, it is cool to see the energy usage and I have moved the plug around a couple of times so now I have an idea of how much energy each of my appliances use. If you’re looking for a smart plug that works with all major smart home platforms I highly recommend this plug as unlike other plugs I have tried, I haven’t had any connection issues and the responsiveness is top notch! ... show more
