I purchased this adapter because i had a lvl 2 Tesla wall charger installed in my garage and had just recently sold my Tesla and got a Rivian truck which uses a standard CCS plug. This worked wonderfully and allows me to charge my Rivian with using the Tesla wall charger. I get about 22-24 miles of charge per hour, which allows me to plug in at night and wake up to a full charge. Note: (this adapter does NOT work for lvl 3 DC fast charging so do not try and use this at Tesla supercharging stations. If you need that adapter then you’ll need to get the DC version) as of right now there is no AC+DC combo charger so if you want to home charge plus also use supercharging stations then you’ll need to get two separate adapters. Save your money, I have a fully electric volve and recently, the new place had an existing Tesla charger, I bought this product but it was a waste of money, I did try the adapter on other tesla chargers and didn't work either.

There’s a company next to my work that has two of these that are rarely used. So I go this adapter for convenience. It was $89.99 compared to the $150 most I’ve seen are here on Amazon. It worked awesome. I waited the 30 seconds suggested and plugged it in for 20 minutes. That yielded me about 7 miles in range. So about 20 miles per hour. This was a Tesla home charger, sticker reads 48A output. While I am in Texas and this is early July, the adapter and the Tesla plug warm noticeably warm. May not be a big deal, but I’ll keep trying. Those charger have a 60A input so this is the max I would try. I’ll update later if my opinion changes, but for now, this beats driving and waiting on the free chargers or looking for the Chadmeo chargers. ... show more

Using it to charge a non-Tesla EV 5) that has a J1772 port, at home with a 60 amp Gen 2 Tesla Wall Connector. The wall charger was set to charge ‘All Vehicles’. Be sure to increase the amperage of charge on your EV to 48 A to ensure maximum charging rate. Works flawlessly so far. Assume that it’s working fine unless I edit this review with an update.
