The adapter worked as advertised for charging a non Tesla vehicle using a Tesla charger. The problem is that is it not a fast charge about 10kwh max which pretty slow when traveling unless you are staying overnight. It gives us an alternative especially at the end of the day if a Tesla charger is available then we can charge overnight. Yes it works but something that works faster at a Tesla charger would be greatly appreciated ... show more

    • Works great for my Rivian R1T using lvl 2 Tesla wall charger

I purchased this adapter because i had a lvl 2 Tesla wall charger installed in my garage and had just recently sold my Tesla and got a Rivian truck which uses a standard CCS plug. This worked wonderfully and allows me to charge my Rivian with using the Tesla wall charger. I get about 22-24 miles of charge per hour, which allows me to plug in at night and wake up to a full charge. Note: (this adapter does NOT work for lvl 3 DC fast charging so do not try and use this at Tesla supercharging stations. If you need that adapter then you’ll need to get the DC version) as of right now there is no AC+DC combo charger so if you want to home charge plus also use supercharging stations then you’ll need to get two separate adapters.
