    • Not well made. One of the battery springs broke immediately
I used this to teach in class. Battery spring in one of the battery holders broke first use. I completed the lesson and the rest of the circuit worked fine but was limited to just one battery.

My 9 year old grandson was learning about parallel and series circuits in school. Not much of an introduction and without any real background. I decided to get this to teach current flow, voltage drops, and of course parallel and series circuits. This kit is enough. There are fancier build a circuit kits with many more attachments and fancy layout boards. Build a radio, a spinning wheel, etc... I didn't really need this to teach fundamental concepts. Bought this for my daughters science project, the lack of instructions didn't bother me however I echo other peoples comments that the light bulbs don't screw in properly. Also the batter does not stay in the batter holder, it is so poor that it just falls out rendering the thing useless. We were short on time so I bought another batter holder from Frys and used that instead, would have returned if I wasn't short on time! ... show more
