I'm not proud of this but it is just my testament as to how good this product is. I had (glue on) fake nails on and a couple popped off and I was going to remove them before going to an event. There was small water leak emergency in the house and it set me back on my time to get ready. I pulled my nails off and hurried to get ready. I loved this base coat as I just like clear nail polish on my natural nails, but it is almost impossible to get off with just remover. I ended up having to file the top of my nails to get it off completely.

This speed dry nail polish from Essie is great. I had been using Revlon quick dry which didn't really dry the polish that quickly. The Essie quick dry works in minutes and I am very happy with it. EDIT: Upped the rating a bit because I’ve been using this under an additional different top coat and it really prevents chipping. It’s just not good at all on its own. Original (I bought the ‘no chips ahead’ top coat. It’s too thin, AND makes bubbles ruining any chance of a smooth finish. On top of that, it does not cure. I let my nails dry for 4+ hours, ran them under cold water etc, and still the next day woke up to impressions and lines.) ... show more
