This is two coats of the pink and one top coat. I already had it on for 4 days. I like that the top makes the nail polish dry quicker. Since it’s regular nail polish, it does take a while to dry so I put it on before I sleep and it works great. The nail polish doesn’t chip for me but the tip of my nails always loses color fast. I do wash a lot of things and use my hands a lot so it’s pretty good for it not being real gel. Removing the nail polish is so easy as well. Love the color! It’s a light translucent blush pink! I use a natural base coat, wait for it to dry, then apply 2 coats of this polish.. super important to let each coat dry first before applying the next! I then applied the Essie gel top coat that come with!! For this look I also applied a top coat that has slight silver glitter for a hint of sparkle & shimmer effect! I let this glitter coat dry and applied another coat of the essie gel top coat! The polish is not thick and last about a week and half before I start to get any hint of chipping! Also do not feel the urge to peel off, it hang on to your nail as a gel polish would and can damage the top layer of your nails! * add cuticle oil too ( I forgot to here.. but if you do it also helps maintain a professional look) ... show more

So I have long waiting for Essie to release a true black in the Gel Couture Line and I am still waiting because this IS NOT a black. However it is a very dark and VERY ATTRACTIVE dark navy which is still a win. I am rough on my nails so I only have success with the Gel Couture line lasting me more than a day. Highly recommend if you are doing your own mani waiting a full 10 minutes between each coat to allow to air dry for best results. I also would recommend NOT doing your nails within 3 hours of going to bed to avoid smushing what you thought were fully dry nails. But seriously—it's a great color ... show more

I got galavanting and sheer fantasy. I love them both. My only complaint is that I need several coats for them to look perfect. I did 3 and still feel like I need more. I do have ridges in my nails to that may be why. Overall it’s a great polish and I will buy more colors. It’s lasts several days without chipping and dries quickly. Most of the time I won’t paint my nails before bed because it seems like they always get messed up and stay sticky/wet for hours. I've used regular essie nail polishes before and I liked them, but I love this!! It looks like gel manicure is very durable, shiny and glossy. I like this color cause its sheer and very natural. I’ve used Essie polish for 20+ years. From the regular to Expressie, to their various topcoats, base coats, glitters, cuticle oils, and gel polishes, I’ve tried it all. This polish is not worth $12/bottle. This specific polish chips off within a day. Base coat, two coats of color, and the gel top coat, it chips off. In fact, if you use the gel topcoat as a base coat you can actually just peel the full nail’s worth of polish off. This does not have the longevity of an authentic gel manicure. Second, as you can see from the photos, it stains — bad. This is the worst my nails have ever been stained by a nail polish and I had it on for five days. The only places it didn’t stain are the spots I peeled off. This is after two rounds of pure acetone polish remover. I’m a huge fan of reds — my all time favorite Essie polish is Clambake or Really Red. THEY don’t even stain this bad. I have no idea how to get this off my nails and will probably repaint them with something lighter while this grows out. For how much it costs & the fact that I’m throwing it in the garbage after one use, I expect better from Essie. This definitely has me rethinking any more vibrant colors. ... show more
