I gave it 4 stars because it arrived with no instructions or owner’s manual. I had to find it online and it was quite difficult. Otherwise the softener works like magic. We can feel the difference in the water. Great product with no instructions

After almost 1 year of living with very hard water in our RV, we can finally shower and it feels like you have soap on you; the faucets no longer have white crust on them; and my skin does not require constant moisturization. The test strips showed our water was 1 from the worst before installation and 0 hard water after. Installation was very easy. I found the tank leaking from the top. My husband was gone and I thought I could fix it. Well I didn’t and ruined it. Not only did they replace it for me, they were really nice about it. Unusual experience and it was very much appreciated.

It is good for RV,s because it is not tall. It will not tip of r easy but I do recommend using bunjy cord to secure it for travel. I don't drink soft water so I don't know what it tastes like.
