Got the new Air Pods Pro 2 Gen2 and wanted a nice case to keep them safe/secure. I've had them for a couple weeks now and have already dropped them a few times. The case on those earbuds are super slick. i figured some beefy, sturdy case was in order and this one seemed to fit the bill. I previously ordered those slim, silicon ones and quickly found out they were trash. Aside from offering better grip, the didn't do much else for me. This one was is A LOT sturdier and better protection in my opinion. IT's a hard rubber material so it's sorta flexible but not super squishy or stretchy like the silicon ones were. Ear buds case fits in perfectly with this case. All the holes line up properly, the case doesn't wiggle out and the best part is the top half of the case. The top half has some double sided tape on the inside to keep a secure fit with the Air Pods case as well as being magnetic. With a lot of these other cases, the top half is always the one that falls off or doesn't quite fit right which is a huge pain. This case, it's held in place securely and hasn't even budged yet. Super happy about this piece. As others have mentioned, this case works with mag safe (large diameter charging disc) and cable charging however, it may not work with the Apple Charger cable (small diameter charging disc). I have one of those 3-in-1 chargers and this case works just fine with that one. Pretty happy with this one so far so here's hoping it lasts awhile and keeps my Air Pods safe ... show more

I have the AirPods Pro first generation with MagSafe case. I previously used the soft TPU-style ESR Magnetic Case with HaloLock, but decided to upgrade to something more rugged. Saw this new case from ESR and decided to check it out. It's designed for the new AirPods Pro 2nd Gen and has appropriate cutouts for the microphone/speaker. Obviously, those holes aren't needed for my 1st Gen Air Pods Pro, but everything still fits perfectly. The lightning connector is centered, charging LED is visible, and the pairing button works great. I especially like the strong magnets on the lid to keep it closed. Yes, it does require a bit of force to open but that is preferable to accidentally bumping the lid open, which happened once or twice on my old soft TPU case. I don't have a MagSafe charger, but this case has the positioning magnets and it charged perfectly on a quick-charge disc. The only negative - which is likely personal preference - is the type of carabiner supplied with this case. It's a paperclip-style. I'm not a mountain climber so I don't know if that is supposed to be more rugged, but I've had issues with that type in the past. I prefer the standard style of carabiner that came with my old case (if you really want something rugged, then I would get one of those screw-lock carabiners). Overall I like the rugged design and the fact that I'll be able to use the case with the 2nd Gen Air Pods Pro when the time comes. ... show more

The case is lighter in weight than I expected, but that is good. It seems durable, but I won't really know that except through use over time. The big plus is that the magnet closure seals as advertised. It does not take any more effort to open it than it does a cap off of a bottle (once it has been opened). By far the weakest component in this product is the carabiner. It is made out of plastic and I am not a fan of the latching mechanism. I wear my cases attached my hip and neither the carabiner's material not the latching mechanism give me much confidence. I'd hate loosing my AirPods because of a flimsy carabiner. On the other hand, the strongest point in this case is the lid closing using magnets. Those magnets are the reason why I didn't go for the Spiegen case which I have for my third generation pods however the lid has opened at least four times while hiking, which is not good. Anyway, I am torn between three and four stars just because of the carabiner. If the carabiner were as good as the rest of the case this product would be a five-star product without question. The short review is a great case that delivers on all promises. This is like a vault for my AirPods Pro 2. The lid closes tight in a great, protective way. Not only does this work on any qi chargers I've tried, it works on all vertically mounted magsafe chargers I own. The magnets in this case are very strong and do a great job. I've had a few soft plastic cases that really didn't deliver outside of it looking cool with a gimmicky "lock" for the lid. After having a couple of these things fail (lock breaks, soft plastic fades and stretches), this feels solid has a very tight lid lock using strong magnets. I don’t drop my AirPods much. But we all know how terrifying it is when you do and those little things fly out across the room. This case has STRONG magnetic force holding that cap on. Like, I almost worry if it’ll put excess stress on the hinge long-term (but it shouldn’t, it’s just that strong when you first start opening it). Installation was a breeze, just slide the bottom portion on, peel the sticker in the lid portion, and slide it down firmly. It doesn’t wobble or flex at all. Perfect cutouts for the speaker in the bottom, LED is clearly visible, and while it’s a little bulkier than the tiny case itself, it doesn’t really add any noticeable bulk to my pocket (I’m not interested in having it bounce around on the included carabiner clipped to my belt). I had the Dbrand Grip case for my Gen 1s and loved it, but this is definitely less bulky and the MagSafe in the case still gets a nice strong pull, something the Dbrand did not do well. 100% recommended case.
