  • Great Compact Lightweight Radio / Light / Phone Charger For Emergencies, Camping, Hiking or Boating
Color: Red
This little jewel would provide invaluable during emergencies. It will provide 50 lumen LED light, AM/FM/NOAA radio and even a way to charge phones. The items that come packaged in the box are:- 1x Esky weather radio 1x mini USB charging cable 1x 2.5mm output charging cable 1x 2.5mm connector to USB converter 1x User Manual 1x Warranty card This device has 2 ways to charge during emergencies when electricity is not available. It can be charged by the hand crank on the side or the solar panel on the top. It can also be charged by other means like USB wall charger and USB cord from your computer. I was even able to charge this device from the USB outlet in my truck. The 50 lumen LED light is very bright. I was able to run the light for 15 hours on a fully charged device. The radio works well and picks up AM/FM and also the NOAA weather stations. Tuning in the stations is easy and they come in relatively clear. The antenna is a little over 9 inches long and lets down and folds compactly on top on the unit. The 2 charging ports are on the back of the device and they are covered by a rubber flap that protects them from the weather. The device is made from a sturdy plastic with almost a rubbery feel to it. Light moisture and rain will shed off the device although it is not designed to be completely waterproof. It can be carried by a handy lanyard cord that is attached to the back. It is light and compact at only 7.7 ounces and the dimensions are Length 5" X Height 2 3/8" X Thickness 1 3/8". It can easily be carried in the pocket and does not take up much space if packed in an emergency bug bag out or hiking backpack.. One of the best features about this device is that is will charge cell phones. I was able to put enough charge on an apple iPhone and an LG smart phone to make calls with. For all the features wrapped up in this emergency device, one cannot go wrong by purchasing it especially at the affordable price. It would be money well invested during an emergency or when camping, hiking or boating where there is no power. ... show more

  • It works
Color: Red
Received undamaged by amazon which was a good sign. After I got it open. It didn't work so I went and read the directions.. It tells you you need a crank. The handle 3 to 5 minutes for the first time. After I did that I was able to tune in NOA, AM FM With no problem. I have not tried any charging from it or the actual solar to charge the battery yet. But the hang crank is what I was mainly concerned about because of the fact. If you have cloudy days or no way to charge it, the hand crank is going to be your savior. Light also worked on it. I'm really happy with the size and the functionality and the looks of it.. ... show more

  • Good emergency radio
Color: Red
I wanted an emergency radio and light. This one is small but with a few cranks worked well. It is just what I wanted and it is small so doesn’t take up storage room.

  • A Must Have

This an awesome little radio to have. Think about storms such as hurricanes, losing your electricity. This has am/fm an 2 NOAA channels to keep you informed and updated on any kind of severe weather such as ice or snow. Great radio sound and comes w/ USB port for cell. Also solar & charge & w/bright flashlight. I'm telling you, everyone should have it. Love it. ... show more

  • Good for an emergency
Color: Red
For emergency use, but I checked it out and works well. Gets better radio reception than my other radios.

  • It's ok, I guess
Color: Yellow
I fully charged the device then plugged my phone into the device. It only charged my phone (slowly) about 10% then stopped charging. I recharged the device to try again but it doesn't seem like a reliable emergency phone charger. Maybe it's supposed to only charge your phone 10%? Who knows. I never know how full or empty the battery is on the device either. The radio and flash light work fine and I'll still keep it for those items but as an emergency all-around device... I'm not impressed. At least it was cheap. ... show more
