This little jewel would provide invaluable during emergencies. It will provide 50 lumen LED light, AM/FM/NOAA radio and even a way to charge phones. I was even able to charge this device from the USB outlet in my truck. The 50 lumen LED light is very bright. I was able to run the light for 15 hours on a fully charged device. The radio works well and picks up AM/FM and also the NOAA weather stations. Tuning in the stations is easy and they come in relatively clear. The antenna is a little over 9 inches long and lets down and folds compactly on top on the unit. The 2 charging ports are on the back of the device and they are covered by a rubber flap that protects them from the weather. The device is made from a sturdy plastic with almost a rubbery feel to it. Light moisture and rain will shed off the device although it is not designed to be completely waterproof. It can be carried by a handy lanyard cord that is attached to the back. It is light and compact at only 7.7 ounces and the dimensions are Length 5" X Height 2 3/8" X Thickness 1 3/8". It can easily be carried in the pocket and does not take up much space if packed in an emergency bug bag out or hiking backpack.. One of the best features about this device is that is will charge cell phones. I was able to put enough charge on an apple iPhone and an LG smart phone to make calls with. Received undamaged by amazon which was a good sign. After I got it open. It didn't work so I went and read the directions.. It tells you you need a crank. The handle 3 to 5 minutes for the first time. After I did that I was able to tune in NOA, AM FM With no problem. I have not tried any charging from it or the actual solar to charge the battery yet. But the hang crank is what I was mainly concerned about because of the fact. If you have cloudy days or no way to charge it, the hand crank is going to be your savior. Light also worked on it. We like this little machine, with both the solar and hand crank it’s pretty easy to power it. It’s sturdy, I tuned a few stations on it, and pretty clear reception! Battery is yet to be drained, so we’ll see how quickly it charges in the sun! And it did power my phone!

Update: The seller reached out and offered a full refund for my troubles. I'm still pretty happy about that seeing as I had resigned myself to a loss. Thanks! Original: I mainly got this to charge my mobile devices because I am experiencing a power outage. It has not been particularly helpful there. It will connect to my phone or iPad for a second before the charge drops. If I unplug and plug it back in, it’ll do the same thing. There is no consistent connection. I’ve used both the provided USB to USB-C and my own charging cords which work fine normally. I’m pretty disappointed with that aspect. As far as the radio and flashlight portion goes, both work pretty well. The flashlight is what you’d expect. A light. Works. The radio catches signal well and sounds decent. I’m not a massive radio-listener, but I enjoy tuning in here and there. Overall, I would’ve saved my money if I had been more pessimistic about the charging function, but it is what it is. ... show more
