For reference I am 5'3" and 140#. My husband ordered the Small for me. Unfortunately I was wearing a Small about 20 pounds ago! The coat came in and surprisingly it fit very nicely, but no room for a bulky sweater. We returned the Small and ordered the Medium. The Medium coat is very much bigger, almost too big. I had been searching and searching for a long peacoat, forever. Everything either didn’t look quite right or was outrageously expensive (in my opinion $200,$300 is too much 😅). I was skeptical buying a coat off of Amazon as usually clothes here can be hit or miss. I looked over the reviews and decided to just go for it. BEST DECISION! This coat fits amazingly! I’m about 5’6” and 160 lbs and ordered a medium and it fits perfectly. I love the material and it has inside pockets which are really convenient; if I don’t feel like carrying a purse, I feel better about my phone and wallet being on the inside of my coat than in the outside pockets. Overall, I definitely recommend this coat and am so happy I bought it! I also get a lot of compliments on the coat which is a plus lol. I have been looking for a new peacoat but longer and I hit the jackpot! I am 5"7 (short torso/long legs) and the coat stops a little past my knee which I love. The shoulders are a tad bit larger but I'm ok with that because I like to wear chunky sweaters. I usually wear an XL in most items but purchased a XXL just to be on the safe side and I am glad I did. This coat is the real deal, heavy and warm, but it doesn't feel heavy when wearing it. The detailing is lovely, it has 2 inner pockets which is nice to place your wallet or phone in and I like that the belt is adjustable. This is a classic, simple pea coat. It is heavy and should keep you warm. As with all things size depends on body type and what you want it to look like on. For me it fit as expected but I wouldn’t wear very bulky sweaters underneath it, I found that it could get a little tight across the back shoulders /arm area when reaching arms out, however, I’m a busty lady so your mileage may vary. I would not size down or up, so there you go. I would buy it again and I’m happy with it, the camel color is very pretty and looks tasteful with lots of outfits. ... show more

I'm 5'11", about 165 lbs, but my arms are stupid long. The length on this coat is perfect, but the arms could even be a little longer. The only reason I ordered a large is because I've never been able to find a double breasted coat to fit my long arms, and I do love the large, bulky fit. I am 4’5” and 189 lbs. Ordered the XXL. It fits well with my sweaters. If I’d ordered an XL, it would have been perfect but an uncomfortable fit with my bulky sweaters. Not bulky or uncomfortable with the XXL. Unfortunately, I had to return this. I currently wear a solid XL, so I ordered an XL. It was easily a full size, possibly two sizes too big. I was swimming in it. The weight and texture of this coat is beautiful, though, and heavier than my husbands 100% wool, full length coat. It's VERY warm.
