It's heavy so have someone help you being it inside. Not difficult to assemble but a bit involved. All parts aligned well, but head seems lower than foot when in flat position. It's a base so can't comment on comfort, that's up to mattress choice. Sturdy, feels durable, quiet motors, and would recommend, even if it seems very low to ground worth 12 inch legs. Height is my only complaint but may be something i get used to. Recommendation may change with use, hybrid mattress is still expanding so haven't slept in it yet. ... show more

I put this together with my two adult sons. I could have done it alone if need be as I am pretty handy, but it is easier with at least two sets of hands (neither has to be a muscle man as the only heavy task is carrying the box inside). The directions could be better, but if you study them and take your time, you can do this. The one step where extra hands helped most was putting on the cloth cover, but again, not impossible solo. Once assembled, it worked well. It performs as advertised and is quiet. I am a big guy, and there is no trouble. I had a low platform bed and this is relatively tall so my pooch had to adjust, but she has it down now as well. I would recommend it if a friend was considering an adjustable bed. After a considerable amount of shopping we finally decided on the right mattress to buy. We decided that we liked the idea of an adjustable base after seeing them in all of the stores, but we were put off by the price. We looked on Amazon and found this adjustable base. We were a little hesitant but decided to go ahead and buy it. Wow, it came in a box that was over six feet long and very heavy. We started assembly in the afternoon, and it was done in time to put the mattress on it and sleep that night. The instructions were easy to follow - after figuring out that there were two sets of screws that had to be undone in order separate some of the parts. Hint, do not use a power tool to assemble. The hex head screw heads can strip with too much force. I did appreciate the fact that they provided a few extra screws - at least I hope they were extra screws. The base works just like the ones in the mattress stores. It is quiet, and it just feels right. Another tip, be sure to look for the option to purchase the adjustable legs and extra padding for the edges. It was only about $10 more, and so worth it. ... show more

This frame/ base is surprisingly inexpensive for what it is. It works great. It was easy to assemble. The directions were great. The only thing is that it was very heavy all in one box also, it’s on the tall side.. we ordered a 14 inch mattress and the bed is kind of high for me. Maybe we should’ve went with smaller mattress. The one thing I think that would make it better is if the legs could be adjustable to make it closer to the floor otherwise it’s not a waste of money, it’s actually just as good as any I Could’ve bought. ... show more

Had a bit of anxiety when I saw the box marked "made in China" As I had just helped someone put together a different style frame where all the parts were miss labeled, and half of the hardware was missing. Folks.. I was quite impressed when I opened this box! Things were zip tied, and bolted together with extra shipping bolts, so stuff doesn't move around. 140lb box and nothing was scrached,dinged or out of place! And I gotta say the instructions were easily followed, and ACTUALLY made SENSE! The materials are very heavy duty and seem very well crafted. Everything works great. Our king size adjustable base, is just what I was hoping for, and more! It was pretty simple to assemble. Read the directions. We did not even have to lay things out ahead of time. We just read the directions, and began putting it together. My husband, did not even need my help to assemble. It can be put together, by 1 person. I really like that the remote is cordless, and the Zero gravity setting! It's amazing! The motor is quiet. It functions very well, and sturdy. It is good height. Was surprised how quickly it was delivered - estimate was 4 to 7 days yet I got it the following day. Packaging was exceptional. It is a heavy frame and I had to remove it piece by piece from the packaging. Assembly was straight forward - 12 bolts to assemble the frame itself then 20 or so to add the backer boards. I had just purchased a new bedroom suite and was worried if the frame would fit inside the bed rails and head/foot boards. This was not an issue at all as it easily fit inside the frame pieces with a few inches of wiggle room to boot. Great quality and value for the price. ... show more

Might be made in China but this is a well made product. Very heavy duty. Componants are very precisely made and fit together perfectly. Instructions are specific to the product and not some generic gibberish that apply to a whole series of products. Everything functions perfectly.
