Let me say first of all this is my first power rack. And I could not be more happy with it. With that being said there is some pros and cons. Cons first 1. I would not trust this rack with 1500 pds. I will never lift 1500 or 1000 or even 800 pds in this rack so this is not a problem for me. 2. If you are a tall person this rack may be uncomfortable in some positions because of the narrow footprint it has. I'm 502 so I don't have this issue. However i did have to make a step to reach the pull up bar. 3. The brackets that slide up and down the posts scratch the paint because the metal piece that locks the brackets into place is bare metal. The Pros 1. PRICE- I bought this rack in August of 2024 and the price was $600 with free shipping and Amazon had a $50 coupon with it so i paid a total of $594. I was considering a Rep Fitness rack with function trainer and weight plates that would have cost me $3400 during this same month. I didn't want to finance a rack so I chose the cash option for the ER Kang. 2. The foot print this rack takes up in my garage gym is perfect. Its small enough not to take up the whole garage with enough room for me to work out comfortably. for most every movement. 3. The rack is sturdy. With the true 2x2 posts ( yes i did measure myself) and upper and lower brackets for support, I feel safe and secure. It didn't rock when I do pullups or rack the bar with weights. 4. Love the colors options. I chose the white and black. 5. Assembly was simple for me. If you ever put together anything from China then you should be able to handle this. It took me about 4 hours and I'm not expert by any means. But be warned its heavy when its together. Moving to the perfect spot after assembly took two people. 6. The extra accessories were a great bonus. This is a great starter set for a rack. The only thing you have to buy extra is the bar and weights. ... show more
