I just started using them the a couple days ago and I tried my pen on it and it didn’t work and smudged, so be very careful about that, I switched to sharpie markers. Also, I just took the sticky off the paper and it ripped the words off! I was in shock cuz that hasn’t happened yet, until now so be careful taking it off the paper too. ... show more

    • I love these -- but you need the right pen/marker
I think these are absolutely adorable, I love the colors, and I love that they're see through. I put them all over my desk and computer screen to help me remember things. I also love them for annotating books so you can highlight or make notes. I will say if you leave them on a surface for more than a few days they start to lose their stickiness. They stick to paper pretty well, but solid surfaces like my desk or laptop, they tend to lose the stick after a little. They also smudge/smear really easily with a regular pen, so you definitely need like a sharpie/permanent marker. I also have yet to find a highlighter that doesn't smear. The ink just kind of sits on top instead of soaking in like it would to a paper sticky note, so you just need a suuuuper quick drying type of ink. ... show more

These sticky notes are very transparent and clear, which is what I had been looking for in order to annotate my books without marking up the actual pages. However because of the waxiness of the sticky notes, it is extremely difficult to find writing utensils that will actually work on these sticky notes without smudging or smearing.
