  • Best e bike package deal
I looked at a lot of bikes and read reviews before I finally chose the Engwe L20 2.0 fat tire folding bikes. Arrived a day early and couldn’t wait to put it together and ride. They were packaged great and no damage or scratches. They were very easy to finish putting together. It took about 15-20 minutes for each bike. I plugged in the chargers and waited about 3 hrs for the charging light to turn green and was ready to go, it took a little time to find the on button, set to setting 1 and gave a little twist and wow! Amazing power and acceleration, I am super thrilled with the purchase and quality. Great bikes for the money! They are great to take camping and put around. Easy to fold and lock back into position, comfortable padded seat, nice rack on the back, recommend purchasing the handy saddle bag to put on the rack. ... show more

  • Best Value Folding E-Bike Available
Color: A: Green Style: L20 2.0
I received the Engwe L20 2.0 in about 5 days from ordering it on Amazon. It arrived in excellent condition with no damage to the box. It took me about an hour to assemble it, it was very straight forward and basic to do. The build quality is excellent, I really like the green color. The components are all solid with the exception of the mechanical rear brake. I did have some initial issues with a squeak coming from the rear rotor. I was able to make some adjustments and after contacting Engwe support, I was able to identify the issue with the rotor and fixed the issue. This is a great entry level / beginner E-Bike. It has plenty of power, relatively light weight and is fun to ride. The price is also great. ... show more

  • Great Bike + Impressive Customer Service ♥️
I’ve given this item a 5⭐️ due to SUPERB customer service & their ability to help me achieve a quality bike & successful experience. Feel free to read more details below. 👇🏼 I’m generally happy with this bike & over the 🌙 regarding their customer service & willingness to do whatever it takes to meet customer satisfaction. I came into this review the 1st round with a lower rating, but I wanted to give it some time of actually testing the bike out & managing the hiccups with Engwe first to determine if I should change it to higher, which I did. The POSITIVES ⭐️ The bike is “handsome” aesthetically. It’s got fatter tires, which give it more of a grunge, earthy look — like a Subaru Forester in bikes. 😂 I got mine in black, but I’m sure the green & rose gold are comparably good-looking. The bigger tires make the occasional shortcut through grassy areas or uphill feel safe & easy. It doesn’t come with lots of bells & whistles (ie, basket & phone holder will be an additional cost), but it does have a nice headlight & bell that I appreciate. ⭐️ The battery life has been top-notch. I’ve ridden my bike a handful of times now, several miles each time, & somehow I still have a full battery. I have yet to test it long distances, but I’m sure I’ll be able to power through at least 40 more miles before I need a recharge. I really like this feature. ⭐️ It doesn’t take a lot of throttle to start going fast. It’s quite fun!!!!! The throttle doesn’t even work in power assist 0, which I like. It helps me feel more in control of the bike. I typically stay in 0 until I need to return from the trip or go uphill, to which I just turn it to 1 & use the throttle rather than power assist. I’m not too fond of PA mode, though I know others like it. The NEGATIVES (turned +++) I’m not super comfortable when riding. I’m 5’6, which is the where this bike’s seat starts. It’s definitely made for taller people. The handle bars are a bit uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this means I’ll have to spend some $$$ to help my ride feel better for my body & back. ⭐️ Luckily, these additional cost aren’t too bad & Engwe has helped make some suggestions for what to buy. This has helped me not feel like I may spend money on a wrong part. As far as assembly goes, I’ve not had the best experience. I think it really comes down to you need to feel confident in your ability to put together expensive things, follow directions well, maybe have previous assembling experience, etc. The user manual is a bit aloof on some aspects; however, I think most users could handle it. I did end up using a professional to check over the preassembly & my assembly. They shared that we both had done a decent job but fine tuned some nuts & bolts to either be looser or tighter. They overall just made sure it rode better. And lastly, they suggested a couple of replacement parts. They explained that these parts currently wouldn’t affect my ride but may wear out sooner than I’d probably hope for. For there to be only a couple of not so much concerns but suggestions, I saw this bike is pretty solid for its cost. ⭐️ Also, this is where Engwe went above & beyond to get me those parts for when I do replace them so that I don’t have to dish out more money, & they’ve just taken care of me as their customer. They’re super quick at response time & thorough. There’s some other things they’ve done to be helpful that I’m grateful for. I feel certain that they’ll continue to dig above & beyond in future. Tis why I do recommend this bike! ... show more

  • Consumers need to be better...
I don't often give bad reviews and will tolerate a lot of BS. But this was just to much. Now to preface all of this, it is worth mentioning that when you buy a $800 ebike, you are getting what you pay for. If anyone is a first time buyer of an ebike and is reading this I STRONGLY encourage you to avoid buying any Ebike from Amazon, let alone one worth less than $1000 and from cheap Chinese company. This is a new industry(ebikes) so a lot of people are unaware of what a good price is or what brands are good etc. I can assure you, 99% of the ebikes you see on Amazon are dangerous, cheaply built, and deserve no attention. What is worse is that these companies will pay a handful of people to make sponsored reviews that are really just a glorified unboxing video. If an ebike works outside of the box... That doesn't mean it's a good bike. What matters is how the bike works after 500 or 1000 miles. Truthfully, I feel like most people writing reviews for this bike haven't ridden their bike for more than 300 miles. Because as someone who has put hundreds of miles on this bike let me tell you.... If I could give negative stars I would. So what is wrong with the bike? Let's start from the beginning. Before I even got the bike there were issues with shipping, they didn't send me the correct tracking number, and I couldn't set up delivery instructions as a consequence. NOT A BIG DEAL. But this was only the start. When I got the bike all the instructions were in broken English, confusing, and very unhelpful. They didn't send me the front fender AND despite the images on Amazon showing the bike coming with a front carriage, it didn't come with that either. So I contacted them and it took them over a month to get me at least the front fender. The only thing holding your handle bars together is a cheap PLASTIC nub. Meaning it can easily break and snap, leaving you essentially without handle bars, and the part isn't easily replaceable. The biggest issue by far on this bike is the hinge. I have seen multiple people report snapped or cracked frames near the hinge from Engwe bikes. So naturally I became very concerned by this and started to inspect. The only thing holding you and this bike together is a ~3mm metal nipple and a flimsy thin metal bracket. On top of that you can expect very loud creaking and cracking noises from the hinge after about 100 miles. Turns out that the hinge comes barely lubricated at all so I've had to unassemble the hinge and lubricate it in order to not ride around making metal cracking noises. Doing that was not easy and made very difficult by the way this bike is built, which brings me to my next point... This bike was not built to be easily maintained. It feels as though they made no effort to think about how the user will need to replace parts or basic maintenance. It's a bike the was made to be essentially... Disposable. This is what consumers need to realize, Chinese manufacturers can make a shiny looking bike and pay people to do videos for them... When the truth is, the product you're buying won't last long and will cost you more in the end to maintain. So please don't buy this. ... show more
