I was skeptical about it being fireproof but so far so good. It holds alot of paper work and the box is roomy. The zipper works fine no issues. I like the sturdiness and the outside box handles are sewn good. The box holds up. I like it makes going mobile possible if need be. Waterproof material.

This fire file box is better than expected it's lightweight but yet sturdy easy to transport with the handles the top with the fish net is nice to store pictures or envelopes in overall I recommend this for anyone looking for a good quality fire safe file box. Just got it today and it fit my stuff nicely. Setting the lock was easy and although I struggled a bit with getting both zippers into the lock, it worked out just fine. As with others, I haven't tested the fire proof stage or how much of a "safe" it is because the zipper portion is fabric. Fabric that could burn or easily be cut open. The lock takes two hands to use to make sure you have each zipper in the right spot. But once you figure it out, it’s easy enough to use. Mine is about 3/4 full and is light enough to move around without a lot of effort. Happy with my purchase.

As a music teacher I am hauling music books back and forth between different schools. These file boxes allow me to keep the music books categorized by level with the books stacked on edge in a way that I can carry the books from place to place without damaging them. The books fit in the boxes perfectly, so I'm happy about that. I need to slide these file boxes in and out of my car and tote them (usually using my wagon) into and out of school buildings. The outer material seems waterproof or water resistant, which is a good thing. The inner stiffening material feels like corrugated plastic (just guessing) which is only a few degrees better than cardboard or foam core board--so not as durable as I would like. For as much carrying, lifting, and sliding as I'll be subjecting these file boxes to, I wish they were made out of tougher fabric on the outside (because I suspect this material is going to rip easily), and something a little more solid on the inside. Time will tell. They'll serve their purpose for the time being. I was hoping to find something with a water-resistant canvas on the outside, but haven't found it. I do like that these file boxes have adjustable handles and rubber feet. Wheels or something tough sliders underneath would be even better. ... show more
