Enfamil D-Vi-Sol infant vitamin D drops have Vitamin D to help your baby’s body absorb calcium for strong bone and teeth development. One serving contains 100% of the daily value of Vitamin D for breastfed infants from 0-12 months as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). The AAP recommends 400 International Units (IU) of vitamin D daily beginning the first few days of life for breastfed or partially breastfed infants, or infants who receive less than one liter or one quart of vitamin-D fortified formula daily. Enfamil D-Vi-Sol is naturally flavored and does not have ingredients derived from the most common food allergies. Enfamil vitamins are the 1 infant vitamin brand and the 1 recommended infant vitamin brand by pediatricians. The standard serving for Enfamil D-Vi-Sol is 1 milliliter (mL) per day. I have nothing else to compare this to. I give it to my infant. I do try a taste of it always when I open a new bottle. The taste is awkward, like a sticky taste lol. It doesn’t taste terrible but it also doesn’t taste amazing. Only got this brand because it’s was one that was recommended by our pediatrician, ultimately the doctor said whatever brand we wanted we could use. I have to explain my 5 star rating after reading all the reviews. I am aware of the cancer risk for Carmel color. I am aware that this is meant for infants only. But my friend has a rare issue in which she can not absorb Vitamin D, even though the genetic testing for her is normal. She has tried everything on the market over the last ten years. Her Vitamin D level would never rise past 5. Normal is from 30 - 100 for adults. Her body would would overdose on every adult vitamin D she was given by many doctors. Or she would not benefit at all. After all of this, she decided to ask her doctor if she could try this D-VI-SOl in an infant dose. All her doctors agreed because they were at a loss of what to do. She was in her thirties by now with a lot of bone loss because of the Vitamin D issues. The dose is actually one half teaspoon a day. She used this for six years and her bones began to re grow. Her Vitamin D levels never went to normal but to a level that her body could work with. She is currently almost back to normal bone mass. She can only take this twice a week as her body can not handle even this small dose everyday. To her, this is a wonder drug. Her doctors agree. For her the risks are worth it. And her doctors agree. Even a doctor who studies bone loss told her that she would never re grow bone. That doctor even told her to stay on this Vitamin D because maybe she would not lose any more bone mass while taking it. The doctors were all amazed that this small dose healed her bones. It is expensive at the regular stores and sometimes hard to find so I get it for her on Amazon. The only complaint would be that the dropper top is no longer available. So it can not be taken very easily out of the house. The syringe is not very sanitary and hard to carry in a purse. UPDATE: My order on 1/1/18 arrived and to my surprise the caramel color has omitted! There is no terrible taste now! There is barely a taste at all! Thank you Enfamil. ... show more

These baby Vitamin D drops were recommended by our pediatrician, so we decided to give them a try. The dropper makes it super easy to administer—I put 1ml into a bottle and it works great. There is a smell/taste which is why my little one doesn’t like taking it on its own. The 50ml bottle will last about 50 days, making it a great value. Our doctor recommended this item when I was breastfeeding. It gives the baby the vitamin D she needs that she doesn’t get from breastmilk. The dropper is super small and baby friendly. Baby didn’t even notice it at all. Tasteless
