I don't have experience with other heat guns to compare this to, but I'm happy with my experience with this heat gun so far. I bought it to do some glass panel replacement on a phone (I wish manufacturers could innovate a replacement to fragile glass on phones, especially for the back of phones which looks silly, but I digress). It worked well, heated up the phone enough to soften the adhesives, and not too hot to damage anything. My one complaint is that the controls on the heat gun are rather vague and it's hard to know what settings correspond to what temperature. To deal with this, I keep the owner's manual handy so I can refer to it to get an idea of what dial to put the controls at because I'll never remember since I don't use it often enough. Solid purchase though, I recommend this to anyone who needs a heat for occasional use. I can't speak to durability of regular or extended use, but it's been great for my use so far. ... show more

I bought this product to remove broken glass in a window frame so I could put a new piece of glass in. The heat gun was very easy to use and helped loosen the caulking that was holding the remaining pieces. I like that it came with extra attachments. Make sure you keep moving and don't stay in one spot too long (as it says in the directions). I made that mistake and turned a few pieces of the vinyl siding a tad orange, whoops. Overall, this heat gun works as expected. Temp control dial is nice option. Bought it for use o with wood burn gel and shrink wrap for sublimation products. Still learning proper heat for the shrink wrap, but for the weird burning gel it works excellent. Case it came in is ok, but cheap metal accessories are a let down and two of them don't stay in the slots in three case so they just rattle around inside. Arrived that way and thought it was broken but just the metal accessories making the noise. Everything what fits in the case nicely. Seems durable and well made. We shall see how it holds up over the long term considering I don't really use it that much. ... show more

I spent more time than I should have shopping heat gun alternatives. I wanted a good quality heat gun with a case. Not sold on the usual “accessories” that make the kits X or Y number of pieces, these are typically not worth the incremental cost. This kit came with a case and some accessories.     • Stopped working after 67 days of light use

This heat gun is kind of big, but is lightweight and the handle/grip is nice to hold. It comes with a variety of nozzles/attachments for various projects. The variable heat settings are somewhat of a joke, but it does seem to have some control. It performs more like a high, medium, low, although it claims to have many more "settings" on the wheel. I actually did like this heat gun and I used it intermittently for 67 days, on the 68th day, no heat. Fans/blower still works in both settings, but no heat at all. I heard no pops, like others have said when theirs stopped working. I have sent an email to the company Enertwist as the product manual says the product is backed by a 90-day money back guarantee and 2 year warranty. I haven't heard back from them yet. I'd prefer my money back, as it just isn't a reliable product and a replacement unit will probably just fail too. I'd suggest finding a different heat gun to spend your money on. I'm hoping my luck with contacting support will be better than others who have claimed no reply at all. I'll update my review if they decide to stand behind their product. Update: 5/19/23 I emailed the company about the heat gun failing and they were very quick to reply and offer assistance. They replaced the heat gun without any issues. They also replied/followed up to my review and offered assistance. I’m changing my review to 3 stars for the excellent service and will adjust the review based on the longevity of the replacement unit. I unpacked this heat gun and literally used within 30 minutes of the unboxing. It worked FANTASTIC!! I did have some issues with the two clasps for the case. I don’t recall for sure now but I believe both were loose in the cardboard display box!! I tried getting them attached but never could. No biggie. I think I can come up with something without any problems. Your website was great to scan thru. You have tons of info shown and I think that’s GREAT!! I’ll be back to visit soon!! OH!! I forgot to mention and it’s NO BIGGIE but one of the clasps had some of the hard plastic missing where the clasp was supposed to hook into!! Again I will say, I was VERY impressed of the good job it did heating up SEVERAL stickers that was on a 5 foot photo display. Keep up the good work. Mike H. ILLINOIS OH!!
