They review pictures of the impression that you send and make sure that it is just right before creating the mold - in my case it took two tries. Been grinding my teeth for years. I’ve tried professionally made guards and chew right through them. I’ve purchased the drug store brands and end up spitting them out almost every night. Bought this guard after my last dentist visit when he told me my teeth were going to crumble if I didn’t do something. The process of making the molds was super simple. My photos were accepted right away and I received my clearance email the following day. Received the guard just a few days later and couldn’t be happier! Customer service is STELLAR for this company. I ordered a soft guard first. It was super comfortable but I was concerned it may not protect as well as a firm guard. I discussed this concern with customer service and ordered a hybrid guard - firm but comfortable - and it fit perfectly! They gave me a great discount for ordering a second guard, too. The cost was already extremely reasonable. Encore guards cost at most $150. My last guard from my dentist cost $1500. I am so VERY PLEASED with this night guard. It is far superior to the night guard I received from my dentist for $605.00. I am certainly going to spread the word on how great this guard has been for my TMJ, my jaw is no longer clicking and i have no more headaches in the morning. I am very VERY HAPPY!!! Ordered this the 28th of August and delviered the 29th of August. The kit you recieve have everything you need to get started and with easy to follow instructions. When I contacted them with the pictures that is mandatory to see if your cast is useable they responded that I had to take some more pictures because it looked like it was not done correct. I did and after a few hours the responded and said everything looked good. And that s a positive thing as well, they don't just take your pictures and say this is fine! they actually do check them to see if the cast is useable. Waited about 1.5 week to get the guards in the mail and I have been using them since and they have a perfect fit and makes my sleep so much better. I also like they included a few cleaning tabs and if your guard does not fit or some adjustments have to be made they will send you a new kit within 30 days to get it adjusted. But this is a great service for the price and worth the money and I want to say the quality is on par with the more expensive brands out there or the ones you get made at a dentist for a lot more money. ... show more

    • Registration has serious issues, but a good product

The dental guard fits great - and it is reasonably comfortable, snug, and stays in place well. Overall, a high quality product. The main issue that I encountered is the registration process. You need to make an impression of your teeth and then send enCore a photo of the impression at their registration web site, and they get back to you to let you know that the impressions are good (something they can work with). All good. The problem is that, when uploading photos, the upload process gets stuck, and you have to register all over again. After several attempts, I contacted Support (which was not intuitive), and once Support got in touch with me, I simply emailed the photos and the process went smoothly from there. ... show more

    • Surprised AND Very Pleased! Take the plunge!

I was skeptical because I had already tried this method before with another company. The competitor mouth guards were thinner than what I’d hoped for and somewhat flimsy considering the price and effort it took. I never felt like the competitor guards were supportive enough, despite them being the hardest option (they gave 2 guards, but it didn’t make up for the quality and functional deficits). Encore’s mouthguards are awesome!!! The quality is very similar to what my dentist sells. My dentist charges $784/guard where I live - discounted from $970, how sweet of them). Encore is reasonably priced considering the high quality. I watched the videos two or three times and read the instructions a couple of times because getting the mold shaped properly is always stressful. Before I used the putty, I practiced getting the mold in and out of my mouth several times - they’re big and awkward. The instructions described it very well, and I felt like I understood what I needed to do to get a good mold. It’s very hard to spend money to take care of your teeth, especially when you’re not sure how well the product is going to work for you. But, I’m so glad I did. I highly recommend them. For anyone who is waffling about what company to use, you will not be disappointed with Encore. I don’t write reviews much, but Encore absolutely deserves my time for making such a great and affordable product. Can’t thank this company enough.
