Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because this set is almost TOO professional grade for home use. Each tool has a good sturdy weight too it, and the picks are extremely pointed - so not much pressure is needed for a deep clean. The scraping tool is a great addition, as it's not found in many other kits, but is super helpful at getting built plaque off! Super easy to use, but be careful with the pointy tips of the picks. They'll definitely get everything out from between your teeth, but be careful around the gums because they're sharp enough to stick right in without trying. The metal seems tougher than the old kit I originally bought from Walmart, and absolutely provides a more thoroughly done clean - leaving nothing behind! Work slow and control your movements, or you'll end up with a pick through your gums! ... show more

Solid set.. Got to be comparable to the tools the dentist use and are FAR better quality than the ones I've picked up in retail spaces in my area. Home cleaning felt better than after leaving the dentist's chair. The carrying case rocks to keep it all together and sterile. (Speaking of sterile. The dental kit arrived quickly and in perfect condition; well-packed for shipping and the tools themselves were quite obviously of very good quality, especially considering the low price. My only disappointment was discovering that the little dental mirror (which was the primary reason I ordered this particular kit) had been replaced with a pair of tweezers, which I can't really see a dental-type use for, though they were as well-made as the other tools.
