Light, breathable, perfect quilt for all seasons here in NW Oregon. I tend to sleep hot but still sometimes need to layer a very light cover over the top of it on cold nights. The trick is to do so without overheating and this quilt is very good for that. In less cold weather, it's just right on its own. It IS cotton, both filling and outer material -- or I'd be overheating even on its own in cold weather. Take that to the bank and buy with confidence. The colors have some yellow - yet more accurately described as a creamy base with lots of other muted colors in a paisley pattern, including blue and maroon --- which allows a real variety of different colored accessory matching - a wonderful thing! I am a fan of cotton quilts. No microfiber for me. This is a pretty set. Very pale yellow, almost more cream than yellow. Nice freshen up for spring.for the price, it is a hell of a good product! I think I paid $45 for a cotton king size quilt with shams.
