I have a dream. Decorated cups of coffee dance in my daydreams and they haunt my nights. Not exactly, but I would love to enjoy an attractive coffee drink once in a while. With that in mind I got this frothing pitcher. It has a great shape for keeping the milk inside the pitcher while using my handheld frother. The spout pours well. And I have hope that the decorating pen will work once I understand how to use it. The first attempt, as the photo shows, ended up less than stellar. However, I blame that entirely on the pen wielder, since it did make lines through the milk just like it was supposed to. ... show more

Become your own best barista! I ordered this because I wanted to make my own dairy-free cappuccinos and lattes. The savings are phenomenal compared to buying those same drinks. The process of making espresso varies greatly from making drip-style coffee. I did some intensive research on making espresso drinks, such as about the best plant-based milks for frothing, buying the most ideal coffee beans for espresso coffee makers, and about grinding them properly for espresso. Following the instruction manual, I set up and used the espresso machine for the first time, learned how to make espresso coffee, then made my first cappuccinos (which included learning to use the steam wand to make the "froth"). The manual is quite detailed with some illustrations, which is helpful; it could use a good edit by a native English speaker as some critical phrases and sentences were not entirely clear. The machine performed well; the results served up exceptionally tasty, dairy-free cappuccinos. The whole process was quite easy except for mastering the skill of artful frothing. This espresso maker comes with just about everything you need to make good espresso coffee or drinks (see photo), including a tool for using Nespresso-brand pods. The espresso maker doesn't include a built-in coffee-bean grinder nor a stainless-steel pitcher (recommended for frothing the milk). I bought my own pitcher (see photo; comes with a thin steel stick to make designs in the finished cappuccino) at a reasonable price from the same company through Amazon. I used a hand-grinder (also purchased on Amazon) which ground my coffee beans set on its finest setting. TIP: I learned that many electric grinders don't grind fine enough for espresso. Make sure whatever you use can grind to a fine texture for espresso coffee. ANOTHER TIP: You might become very popular by having the ability to prepare these popular coffee drinks. As someone who loves a good cup of espresso, I've tried a variety of espresso machines over the years, and I have to say that this one really stands out. Highly polished heavy stainless steel construction. Feels good in the hand. The inner markings are a nice touch but I tend to just go by feel at the moment. Pairs nicely with my espresso machine.

It has a lot of pressure to it to really extract the taste from your espresso. It has a nice reservoir for water in the back. It can use cups for espresso or espresso powder. It has a nice adjustable knob for air in the milk frothier. Everything you need to make great espresso and lattes. This is a well made cup made of sturdy materials with marked measurement lines inside which are pretty convenient, especially if you are counting calories or are particular about the amount of milk in your coffee. Frother is not included, but this is a useful tool for those of us who like to enjoy a bit of frothed milk with our perfectly brewed cuppa coffee in the AM.
