Had the charger for about a month now and it's been great so far. Never given me issues, and the 24' cable is a life saver. I am able to charge my '24 Model Y parked behind a 19' car. Unfortunately for me I had to do some small but somewhat costly electrical upgrades to install a subpanel and a NEMA 14-50 outlet. If you have a newer electrical system, 200 Amp service w/ space for 2 breakers in the panel, then you can install this much easier. NACS connector is high quality and reliably opens charge port door. Cable is also durable and manageable, and is only slightly warm at full speed 40 Amps. You can hang the cable on the included holder or around the charger shroud itself. It mounts very securely to the wall, and can be installed easily. The mobile app is basic but it has good information and it accurately tracks, displays, and reports charging statistics. Since this is priced under the Telsa equivalent charger, it made it a more attractive choice. Though it doesn't look as sleek. ... show more

Already had an outdoor 50 amp Rv plug so using this to level 2 charge model y at 40 amps/9kw per hour. Nice craftsmanship and fully integrates with Tesla app. Ony thing would improve is make the plug length longer from the unit to the plug in spot.

I used the NEMA 14-50 plug to make it easier to setup. The power supply chord to the 14-50 is way fatter than needed or is used on any other 240v / 40a application. Also a foot longer power supply cord would have been appreciated. Once attached to the wall and plugged in, it is very good. 40a is faster than the 32a mobile connector than I have used previously on my Tesla Model S. Since I get all the data I need directly from the Tesla, I have not even connected the Emporia to the wifi. I did not attach the NACS holder, and simply wind & drape the NACS cable around the Emporia. Good choice. ... show more

Love charger, cable is light and easy to use the button is compatible with opening the Tesla charge door. Haven’t really fiddled with the app much but it does what we need it to do and at a $50 less cost than the Tesla one. Can’t go wrong with it!

My 2015 Tesla Model S adds 28 miles per hour on this charging station. It also charges my BMW i3 when I connect the J1772 adapter (see image) The cord gets warm, possibly because it’s slimmer than the cord from my previous level 2 charging station (see image).
