  • Makes easy work of blade sharpening
Size: 6"
I used these on a 6-in jointer blade and have had excellent results. I use a ceramic tile for a flat surface . Using wet/dry sandpaper over the tile I started with 180 grit working my way up to 600. It's not fast but it's accurate and easy. I would definitely recommend this for honing or sharpening your planer/jointer blades. ... show more

  • Well made
Size: 6"
I can't really tell you how well it works. After receiving it I found out that the angle was not what I needed for my jointer, that's all on me. Should done more homework to confirm the angle I actually needed. The Emilypro looks like a well made guide. Wish it had worked for me.

  • Good quality
Size: 12"
Easy to you use start at a low grit and work you way up haven’t tried the re sharpened blades but have no reason to believe they wouldn’t work just fine

  • Works well
Size: 6"
We’ll made and easy to use. I was given a jointer a while back and finally got around to fixing it up. After sharpening the blades with this and calibrating them, it runs great

  • Works WELL, but bad screws.
Size: 6"
Set screw sockets were sloppy with 2 totally stripped. New set screws ar ACE Hardware for $1.69 and I’m happy. Works well. I sharpened 3 sets of 4 jointer knives. The jig and 4 sheets of wet/dry sand paper cost less than paying for one set of knives to be sharpened.

  • Almost good
Size: 6"
The extruded aluminum part is great. The problem is the set screws that you use to clamp the blade in place. As with most things that come directly out of China, the hardware is practically unusable. Had to replace all of the screws which cost around $9 bringing the total price for the sharpener up significantly. The set screws I used were M5-.8x12. Works great now but out of the box two of the six screws had heads that would not engage with the Allen key. One of the others was slightly undersized and would rattle in the hole. ... show more

  • Some things are unbelievably simple
Size: 12"
Some things are unbelievably simple, but they sure make life a lot easier. A piece of metal, that holds something at 90' to each other. So simple. But, what they do, and why they even exist makes so much sense it boggles the mind as to how something like this took so long to bring to market. I sharpened 3 sets of blades, 2 sets of 12" planer blades and a set of 3 benchtop joiner blades in under 30min. True, that the 90' isn't the optimum setup for some sets, but it puts a edge on what you have that's easily to redo. Eventually, you'll sharpen them to where they ARE both 45', and life is good. This simple piece of metal and some PSA 600g sandpaper...I'm nearly cutting atoms on both the joiner and planer. Well done. ... show more

  • Great Find, Works Like A Charm. I Highly Recommend.
Size: 12"
If you have found this jig, you are probably looking for a way to sharpen your 12" planer blades for less than the $114 wooden blocks that you've already seen. We figured that at this price it was worth a shot and that if it sucked we could always send it back w/i 30-days. Bottom line: This is the real deal. Enjoy. ... show more
