These are a little big for some of the floss organizers out there, but the one I have has slightly larger and deeper compartments and these work beautifully. I got so tired of the plastic bobbins that you have to run the floss through a few times so it doesn't pop out of the slit and unwind so went looking for cardboard bobbins. These are sturdy enough that I never accidentally bend it when wrapping the floss, and are easy to label, although I typically use pre-printed labels. I'm very happy with them and ordered a 2nd set to replace my old plastic ones. ... show more

I didn't haven't high expectations because I have had some really rotten bobbins in the past, however, to my surprise these are more durable and easier to use than those in the past. These cardboard floss holders are classic embroidery floss holders. They fit a standard floss holder plastic box and are what my family has used for years. I had bought a previous cheaper package from a big box store only to get home and realize they were made of plastic and not the standard size. I organize my floss in a divided box and ran out of bobbins so I bought these but they are too tall to fit in the box (4 cm box versus 4.2 cm bobbins) so the lid doesn't close properly. Check your box dimensions before ordering.
