I have had and loved this cup for years but I never could get the app to work well with my android phone. A few weeks ago my cup needed replaced and when setting it up I learned they have updated the app! It now works seamlessly with my cup!( It used to constantly lock up) I still loved my Ember mug because I'm a coffee addict, having it hot an hour after I pour it is simply the best! No more wasted coffee gone cold! Even without the app it kept my drinks hot but the set temp was a bit warm for me. I know the cup isn't inexpensive but it's fabulous! I really enjoyed my first cup of coffee out of the ember mug. The mug kept my coffee hot until the last drop. I thought I had to connect it to my WiFi but I didn’t. You just open the app and apply your name. Very easy to use. The only slight negative comment is I pushed 10 oz using my Keurig machine as I do every morning. This filled the mug up almost to the top, which is good but I add cream to my coffee so there would not have been room for my cream. I had to dump out some of my coffee so I could add my creamer. Tomorrow I will press the 8 oz when using my Keurig. I just tested it and that will leave room for my creamer. Remember to heat your creamer up before adding it to your coffee. It was a pleasure to drink a full cup of coffee without having to stop to reheat it in my microwave. ... show more

In the beginning, you will receive your mug in beautiful packaging and it will work as you wish. The empty mug weight is 414g which is a little heavy but the handle is very comfortable. The first setup use very easy just charge your mug and download the app to set your preferred temperature. Once you set the temperature you need 10+ Min on average to reach your preferred temperature, the mug works on 110/220v if you need to travel. Please take a couple of minutes to read the user manual to avoid any short circuit while you charge the mug. PROS: 1- Great build quality, just don't use a metal spoon to avoid scratches. 2- The average time depending on the temperature is 70 Min which is doing what is supposed to be done, and the actual temperature of the drink is similar to what is displayed on the app. 3- Smooth app to control and easy to connect, and the mug will automatically off if the mug is empty. CONS: 1- The charging time is very long more than two hours to get fully charged, this is very annoying!! 2- The battery percentage decreases rapidly after a full charge until it reaches 3%, where it remains for a long time. I believe a software update is needed. 3- I would like to see a 70 C degree nether than 62.5 to drink a black tea. ... show more

My old Ember was just not working....was very difficult to charge as one of the little prongs on the charging base was pressed in and would not pop back up. Kept watching both Amazon and Ember sites and finally saw a great sale on Amazon...thank you....so ordered right away. Received quickly and all is good...enjoying hot coffee again. Do have to say though that the Ember brand is very delicate and malfunctions easily. My old Ember needed to have charging base replaced - same prong problem and the mug needed replacing. Both were done by Ember without too much hassle....they were helpful. I treat my Ember very very gently following all the guidelines. Hoping that this one will last a few years without any problems.     • It actually works to keep your coffee hot! Needs wireless charging.

Works great. Keeps the coffee at your temperature. Definitely helps to have the lid to make the battery last longer & keep your coffee warmer for longer. Only drawback is the charging coaster is pretty fragile & the super tiny pins break very easily. Typically the tiny springs for the pins go out. At least a replacement charging coaster doesn't cost much compared to the mug. Really need to make another updated version that uses wireless charging so it's not susceptible to breaking & so you could use any wireless charging pad as a backup. ... show more
