  • Amazing & convenient pump
My sister recommended this pump to me after trying (truly) 7 different types of pumps, and I am SO GLAD I listened to her. It feels exactly like when my baby nurses, and it does an excellent job on milk expression as I ended up actually over producing (which of course has its own genetic component). I used my pump for 9 months before my baby got a hold of it & broke it. I wear it to work and pump while still moving around & working. You do need to be careful not to bend over as some milk will spill out of a tiny hole at the top. As long as I'm mindful of it, no spill happens. Additionally, I've read some people having issues with the pump reservoir coming apart - this did happen to me once, but I realized that the issue was when I detached the tube/electronic component from the pump itself, I had accidentally opened the reservoir. Once I adjusted my technique, it never happened again. I genuinely love and rave about this pump, and I highly recommend it to every breast pumping mama I meet - it is exceptional, and I plan to use it exclusively in my pumping journey. ... show more

  • I am livid!!!
I’ve had enough!! So much so, I am willing to waste my time with an infant by my side and write a review so other new moms don’t suffer like I have. I have purchased this piece of garbage twice!! Yes twice. Because when it works, which is 10% of the time, it works great. The suction is better than my spectra s1. It’s also convenient to care for a newborn and infant with low profile cups. With that said, only because I’m a complete fool did I continue to purchase parts for this garbage every single time it stopped working on me. As other reviewers have mentioned, those stupid little rubber gaskets fail often, and when they do, milk either falls out or you completely lose suction. The company doesn’t sell the rubber gaskets as replacement parts. You have to purchase the top cup part with it, making the whole thing cost a lot every single time you need to replace them. Talk about a rip off. Sometimes when a part fails mid-pump, suction messes up and milk goes into the tubes, and into the motor. This happened to me at least 4 times now in 6 months. If you’re lucky, you catch it before the pump breaks. I wasn’t so lucky once and had to repurchase the entire pump kit. When I received the new pump, the tubes were kinked, brand new out of the box. I reached out to the company and they sent replacement tubes right away. So their customer service wasn’t bad, at least from my experience. As I sit here for the third day, suffering because I can’t get a decent pump, I decided to finally write a review and warn about this thing. I’m currently using just one cup, one breast at a time, because this thing failed on me once again and I can’t tell which piece of rubber is the culprit. I’ve changed out several parts, waiting on the final piece with the gasket to see if that will fix it. All in all, I’ve spent around $1,000 so far servicing this thing and it’s still breaking on a weekly basis. My supply is suffering, my breasts hurt, I am forced to supplement with formula, and I am at my lowest point in my breastfeeding journey because I chose to buy the wrong hands-free pump. Ladies, save yourself the grief and pain. Do not purchase this pump!!!! Listen to the bad reviews. Stay away!! This company should be ashamed of themselves for knowingly producing a sub-par product and selling it to desperate moms who will do anything and pay anything to make sure their babies are fed. This is a disgusting tactic. A very blatant form of the pink tax, where we get shafted because we’re desperate. ... show more

  • Great pump for working moms
I'm a physician that recently went back to work and I LOVE this pump! I think it works better than the pump I got through my insurance and my milk supply seems to have increased since using it at work. I will also say that people have only noticed my machine when it's very silent in a room- otherwise no one would realize I was pumping! However, I must admit that you have to be careful when transferring milk because the milk can get stuck in the smaller pump parts and that can spill if you're not careful. ... show more

  • Easy, on the go!
It doesn’t pull as much as my Spectra, but its hands off and I can use it easily while doing things like driving or playing with my baby. I’ve had this pump for awhile, and just recently pulled it out again after the birth of my newborn. I replaced the valves and all was well. Shortly after it lost suction and was pulling almost nothing. I have supply issues anyway, but could tell the pump wasn’t coming close to emptying me. So I took it ALL the way apart. I hadn’t been removing the green silicone around the cups and that was the issue - a fine layer of milk residue had made its way under and was compromising the seal. I used the dapple baby soap and a wash cloth and scrubbed everything super clean and let it dry. Immediately after, it pulled way more than it had in awhile. I use the fridge hack and clean it once a day, and do a quick clean daily… and DEEP clean once a week. I absolutely prefer my Spectra with Pumpables Liquid Kits as I have elastic nipples, but Elvie Stride has been a great secondary piece. My only issue with it is that it’s “wired” with tubes. I’m planning on getting wearables that are much more independent soon. ... show more

  • The only pump I use outside the house
As a NICU mom and undersupplier, this is the best pump purchase I've made. My quality of life is so much better than it was before. I can actually leave my house again. It took a lot of hemming and hawing before I spent this amount of money on a pump but I'm super glad I took the leap of faith. This is super comfortable and easy to wear. It takes me less than a minute to put both sides on, and I feel like I get great results when I pump with this (I use the strongest settings). When pouring, I am able to save almost all of my milk and very little is left behind in the cups (I lose at most a couple of mLs). Before this, I was exclusively using a medical grade pump (rented from the hospital) but it's incredibly heavy and needs to be plugged into the wall. I'm so grateful to have something I feel confident pumping with away from home. I can't express how much better my life is now that I'm not afraid of being away from my home pump all the time. This was worth every penny. I am also very pleasantly surprised by how not-annoying it is to clean these pump parts. ... show more
