Pros: Chemical sunscreens burn and make my eyes water so I like to use mineral sunscreens (like this one) with a tint to offset the white cast. I have to use a physical sun block because chemical sunblocks, ironically, make my skin look and feel sunburnt. My dermatologist recommend this sunblock and sold it to me at a ridiculous price. When I went to replace it, I looked online and found it for less than a third the price. It's gone up since then....but what hasn't?     • Wish it had a bit more tint / pigment
I ordered this as I have been buying the Elta MD products from my dermatologist's office but they don't stock this item . I wanted something that would hold up to the heat and oppressive humidity we live with here along the Gulf coast. Here, makeup , especially foundation just slides off and is a waste . This sunscreen goes on well , no odor that I can detect . I find it is better to apply a thin layer, let it dry and add another layer. I start with this sunscreen, add concealer, blush , a bit of eyeliner and a sheer lip gloss for my " Summer face ". Great for every day or going out casually. I feel like my face is made up , but not heavily and it won't melt off with the slightest exhertion. I give it 4 stars as I wish it had a bit more pigment. I’ve tried probably close to 50 different mineral sunscreens over the years and this is simply THE BEST. It’s so lightweight and doesn’t feel sticky, greasy or heavy. Yet, it provides decent coverage for what it is…I’d say equivalent to a little bit more than a tinted moisturizer. I used to be a daily foundation girl. But now I just wear this and some concealer.     • I have two empties now and this sunblock is a reorder every time
The coverage is is in the middle of the road but can easily cover any blemishes with concealer. I will for sure keep ordering till I find a new fav but don’t expect to any time soon! The tint helps leave no white cast, and dries afterwards a bit darker but don’t oxidize to a weird color.
