Forget the bad reviews; people these days cant read. It says on the product page that you need to air dry (fluff) this comforter for 20 minutes and let it sit overnight. It will come flat as a rock due to vacuum sealing. That's normal. BUT, if you don't do this simple step, it will stay flat for awhile until you've used it enough. As far as the noise... Has nobody owned a quality down cotton comforter? Yea. It makes a tiny sound of movement. Like ANY comforter not made from microfiber. Its not loud. Its normal. For smell: I have a keen nose and I plopped my face in after breaking the plastic vacuum wrap. Nothin. I mean, just clean cotton. Nothin. Anyhow, heres a tip: use good fabric sheets when you air dry the blanket: it'll smell lovely, soften it up, and quiet it up. Finally, to all the haters. Ive owned $700 down comforters and I paid for this on sale under $100. No difference EXCEPT!!! This is machine washable. Score! Also, zwro feather escape and not a single poke from a feather. I got this in twin size for sleeping on the couch downstairs. It is a bit lighter than I thought it would be, but a good sprint -through - autumn weight for those who keep their houses fairly cool and live in WI-like climate. Many here have commented on the sound of the fabric. The fabric is not soft - it is stiff and pretty much stays that way, and is kind of like sateen (for those old enough to remember that fabric). But I really like the feel and sound of it. Down comforters keep you warm - even in summer - just right by sort of tenting you inside a small body-conforming tentlike layer of air - with your dog, if like me you have a doxie - not by contacting your skin. I have two dogs and they both sleep on my bed. I have not got any rips, from their nails. The material seems to be a little thicker than the down comforters I've had in the past and I don't have a lot of feathers falling out either.

This was decent for the price, but the feathers poke out of the material easily, causing pokes on your skin and it’s not very soft or thick. It is not oversized and barely covers my king sized bed.

I love the weight and as a hot sleeper, it's just right but my husband can't get used to the sound, like many other reviewers, he said it sounds like a tarp. 🤣 I tried washing it in hopes it would be less crinkly sounding but even with a duvet cover it makes too much noise.

We bought this a year ago, and use this daily. We wanted something that could be washed at home because we have a kitty and 2 dogs. We use a duvet to help keep it clean. My BF sleeps hot, I sleep cold. It’s perfect for both of us, all season. I’ve had extremely expensive down comforters, and I can’t compare this to those. That would be silly. But for the price, we are very happy with what we received, and would not hesitate to buy again. My bf (who is not prone to commenting on little niceties) loves this comforter enough that he has commented how much he loves it several times. That alone would get it five stars, but it earns its own stars based on merit. It really is a decent blanket, and at a good price. Just don’t expect the $500 quality type and then come here to complain. You’re getting a nice blanket that will, with proper care, last a few years, not something you will leave as legacy.
