Description

Strum confidently with the same premium acoustic guitar strings that experienced players worldwide trust to keep their incredible tone longer than any other string available. Unlike other string brands, Elixir Strings coats the whole string. This protects not only the outer string surface but also the gaps between the windings where common tone-deadening gunk typically builds up in other brands’ coated and uncoated guitar strings. Anti-Rust Plating on plain steel strings ensures longer tone life for the entire set. Who wouldn’t love more quality playing time between the hassle and cost of string changes? Engineered to endure, these acoustic strings constructed with phosphor bronze wrap wire boast a dynamic balance of rich, full-bodied tone and sparkling high-end clarity. Compared to our original POLYWEB Coating, the ultra-thin NANOWEB Coating allows a more traditionally textured, “uncoated” feel. For a slicker, gentler feel, try a set of strings with our original POLYWEB Coating. The 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with POLYWEB Coating, for example, might be a good fit if you want a more robust and rounded tone. On the other end of the tone spectrum, our 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating deliver a brighter, crisper tone alongside the same traditional feel as these phosphor bronze strings. Of course, the kind of string you play is all a matter of personal preference. Not sure what tone or feel is right for you? Try them out for yourself, and find your new favorite string from Elixir Strings. For a more in-depth look at what makes our strings so special, scroll to the branded info further down the page. Elixir Strings: Great tone. Long life.

  • WOW. JUST WOW... I wish i knew about these years ago. I feel like I've been missing out.
Style: Cust. Lt. (.011-.052) Size: Single Pack
I have not played like i played after i got these stringed up in years. Just WOW. They sound beautiful. I payed for like 45 minutes straight, and i was in the zone like it i was on cocaine. They sounded THAT good. I prefer the lighter strings and the ease of playing them, but you loose a bit of the fullness of the sound with a lighter gauge. These 11-52's are pretty comfortable to play, and the nanoweb coating makes them very smooth and easier to play. They are bright, full, round, great sustain, and loud. Awesome Strings. Period. I am VERY Happy with them. I just can not get over the sound. I had a set of Martin 12-56's Phosphor Bronze on my Yamaha Acoustic before and i thought they sounded pretty darn good, but a little stiff and hard to play after playing my electrics most of the time. But these blow them away in sound and play-ability. I'm not saying Martin's are the best, but they're pretty good sounding, especially for the price. These are 3 times the price, but in my opinion, they just about sound 3 times as good. I read that a few people received sets that they believed to be fake. I grabbed my multi-meter and checked them when they arrived and the set i received did not cause the meter to read as "open". They do if you press really hard with the meter leads, but i don't think that is a totally accurate measure of legitimacy. If these are fakes, they are still worth the price, lol. I was hopeful because of the hype behind these, and since they are pretty dang spendy for a single set of strings. I hope that they last as long as they claim to last with the nanoweb coating. I just put them on like 2 hours ago. I had to write a review, just to share. I will totally buy these again, and i will be ordering a set for a buddy of mine. They are so nice that i have to share the beauty. I will update my review if anything changes. I really hope they last 3 times as long as a typically set, being 3 times the price. That is my only complaint. ... show more

  • Beautiful, playable strings
Style: Cust. Lt. (.011-.052) Size: Single Pack
I have only had them on the guitar for a day, so I can't speak to the claims about longevity, but first impressions are extremely positive. They are smooth, bright, clean, playable, and don't make much finger noise. My new go-to steel strings.

  • Long lasting
Style: Cust. Lt. (.011-.052) Size: Single Pack
The Phosphor Bronze with NANOWEB Coating is a game-changer. These strings have such a warm tone and they last SO much longer than regular strings. NANOWEB Coating really helps with smoothness and minimizes finger squeak. Trust me, you won't regret trying out these strings. They're worth every penny!

  • Co They definitely last a long time.
Style: Single Set Size: Single Pack
I purchased these for my hummingbird pro. They definitely lasted a long time. The feel and the tone is completely different than what I was used to. Usually I use Ernie ball Earthwood which are cheaper but do not last as long. In my opinion the Ernie balls sounds better with traditional style old-school acoustics but if you don’t want to change your strings very often, and you’re not concerned about what may sound arguably a little bit better or feel a little bit different than these strings might be the best fit for you. I’m going to stick with the Earthwood for now on my Gibson hummingbird pro. I’m going to install a new set of elixirs on my late 1980s USA ovation elite that I don’t use that often and since it is not really a classic style guitar think these elixers should fit the bill for that particular guitar. ... show more
