I wasn’t expecting too much, as the price was under $300, for a king. Our last matress, a Serta, was almost $1,100 and that was eight years ago. Well, I was quite impressed once it was opened and expanded. It was described as medium firmness and I have to say it is about as perfect a medium as I could want. In my opinion. It looks like a quality mattress. Doesn’t look cheap or low quality at all. We are on on second night and we are very pleased with it. We both agree it is very comfortable and we are sleeping very well. As far as durability, we’ll only time will tell but at this price, if we just get 2, 3 or 4 years out of it the. It is well worth it! Definitely would not hesitate to recommend it. Good purchase, great price, great product. “Good to know’s”: 1) Box is HEAVY. Two grown men were needed to get it in the door and to the bedroom. Do not try to move it alone. Once it is out and expanded, it is much easier to manage. 2) Use caution when cutting the vacuum packing bag the mattress is in. The very moment you begin to cut it open, the mattress will expand. Rather violently too. Like a 6’ x 6’ eighty pound supercharged Jack-In-The-Box. 3) We were not able to wait 24-72 hours. We are both 60 and had no where else to sleep and we certainly couldn’t sleep on the floor. Not at our age. However, the mattress expanded immediately. It was at full 12” thickness quickly. It was approximately 12 hours from unpacking to bedtime and we had no issues whatsoever. It was very comfortable. 3) If you have an open area to open the vacuum packaging, and are able to move the mattress after unpacking I would do so. It popped open so quickly and forcefully it knocked some pictures off the wall above the bed and knocked things off the nightstands. LOL! If I had to do it again, I would have unpacked it in the middle of the living room where there is open space, THEN, I would have moved it to the bedroom and bed frame. 4) We have not detected any odors or defective stitching or anything like that. Update - I liked the height of my bed frame and the mattress collectively. However, I wanted is a little higher, so I added highers and magically the edges are much firmer. I sit in the edge of the bed all the time now and no problems. This was my only issue, so this mattress gets a solid 5! Original Review: This is my first box mattress, and I had no idea what to expect. My colleague helped me set it up, and it was actually super easy. In fact, the hardest part was taking off the plastic lol! I wish we had did a video, but not knowing what to expect we were focused on just getting it set up. Please note it is heavy, nothing light about it. Also if it's not delivered directly to your home, you'll need a vehicle where the seats let down because it won't fit across the back seat. Now once we got the plastic off, and started unrolling it, it immediately started to rise. It looked like it fully inflated right away; but I like to follow directions, so I gave it the full weekend to settle before actually sleeping on it. There was no odd smell or anything. Now, I have horrible back issues, so I had explored reviews that suggested the mattress had good back support, and this one had several mentions of back pain relieve. Maybe my back issues are too extreme, but I haven't seen any real relieve. (I made another purchase to try and address this). However, I love the size of the mattress, and beyond my back I find it to be very comfortable. Now I don't like the lack of firmness around the edges, which appears to be extremely weak. Whenever I sit on the edge of the bed I feel like I'm going to fall off. The rest of the mattress is actually pretty firm. I feel well supported. NOTE: it doesn't hurt my back anymore than what I experienced before. If it wasn't for the issues with the edges I would give this mattress 5 Stars. I really like it! ... show more

    • Amazing quality at a great price

We decided to buy a bed set and have it shipped out to our son's house for us to use when we came to visit. I chose this mattress based on reviews and it did not disappoint! The mattress was very comfortable. I tend to have back pain and wake up stiff and sore in the morning but I had no soreness at all the week we were there. The mattress had firm support but also soft on top - a perfect combination. It was firm all the way to the edges. We ordered a metal frame that also serves as a box spring for the base and that seemed to support this mattress well. We bought the 12 inch mattress. I couldn't believe the quality for the price. When it is time to replace our current mattress we will definitely be replacing it with this one. ... show more

The mattress was so easy to set up and even came with a tool to cut the plastic that it is wrapped in. it pretty much expanded to full size immediately and we did wait the 72 hours before sleeping on it or putting bedding on it. I bought the 10 inch mattress but, it only expanded to 9 inches. I wish it would expanded all the way but, since it is good quality and so far comfortable to sleep on not having that extra inch Isn’t any big deal. The mattress had no smell and it isn’t to soft but, isn’t to firm either. It is the perfect combo of comfort. I did see some other reviews stating if you sit on the corner that the mattress sinks down, in our case this doesn’t happen. Not matter where you sit or lay the mattress might sink a tiny bit but, that’s it. This mattress was bought for my teenage son and he has no back pain so I can’t say how this would mattress would be for people who have aches and pains. Not sure how this mattress will hold up over time. It seems like it would but, if it doesn’t I will definitely update my review. Overall I would recommend this mattress and the price is very reasonable. ... show more
