The micron gauge doesn’t work, and there isn’t an option to turn off leak detection. Takes forever to pull down to 500 microns with the auto leak detect feature. I really tried to like it and I dont. Wish I could return it

#1 Its a 12CFM display says it's operating at 7 CFM not sure if this is just a mismatched control guauge or if it's not performing at spec. I Assume it's 12CFM like the label on the pump. It leaks at the micron gauge/solenoid just enough to not allow it to go below 1300 microns. And when it shuts off it doesn't hold vacuum. I'm waiting for their customer service to reply Amazon says yesterday was my last day to return. Im Expecting to get a good new functional unit shipped out. Nice to have on board gauge but you should buy a different pump if needing unsupervised long vac downs. This one has alot of settings and things that will have it stopping maybe when you don't want it to. Does monitor itself for overheating etc. That part is nice. Taking several hours in the present condition to get down to 1000 microns on a 1 ton split unit. Update the vacuum side of the pump was working all along. The gauge just was off. So I asked for a replacement unit at 35 days and they said no refund after 30 days. So as a warranty service they mailed me a new sensor for the vacuum system. As soon as you try to unplug any connectors from the circuit board the solder joints fail and you're holding the socket in hand that should remain soldered to board. So I can't use the new sensor unless I do a complex resolder project on this computer board. Let's see if they will help me out or send out a new board? Buy a field piece.     • This pump is a game changer

I've used small single and 2-stage vacuum pumps for years to pull down vacuum bags for composite parts, and it was time for yet another vacuum pump. I was ready to pay more for a more serious pump, when I came across this gem. The pump's performance specs seemed perfect, and the added digital readout and bluetooth app seemed very useful. I've used the pump about 30 times, mostly to evacuate air from a 2 gallon outgassing chamber, and for a couple of vacuum bagging projects. The pump performs extremely well, pulling down vacuum faster and deeper than my other small pumps. The fittings on the pump were the same as my other pumps. The build quality of the pump seems better than most. What amazes me is the LCD display actually shows the pressure at the vacuum inlet, and it can also graph the pressure change over time. It also shows both the pump and the oil temperatures, and sounds an alarm (?) if they reach a preset maximum. It has many other features that I haven't even used yet. The bluetooth apps works great, and I can view and adjust the vacuum set points remotely, and probably do a lot more. Because of the robust display and information on the touchscreen, I will have trouble going back to using "dumb" vacuum pumps. ... show more

It did a great job , pulled vacuum on a system very fast and efficient, timer shut pump off at desired micron of 450 and held vacuum like it was supposed to , I will be buying a second one

In my first few minutes using this pump, two show-stopping bugs came up: First, the pump tries to be "smart" and reduce power and wear by shutting off when vacuum is attained. It will pump down to pre-set threshold, close a gate valve, and shut off. The issue is, if your system leaks or offgasses at all, the vacuum will start creeping back up when this happens. There's no way to set the threshold to 0 pressure to get the pump to run continuously. Additionally, you can set a dwell time between 0 and 200min, but that means even if you're ok with some fluctuations in vacuum pressure at the low end, the pump won't ever hold vacuum for more than 200min. Second, at some point the pump randomly rebooted on me and started back up in Chinese, and any attempt to change back to English crashes the software. Even using the companion app, the app will crash as soon as the pump is turned on now. Save your trouble and buy a more professional pump and separate vacuum gauge. ... show more
