  • Great first ebike
Update: I am giving this bike and seller 5 stars after the seller addressed the issue with the no locking front fork as was advertised. I rode this bike for about 25 miles this weekend and I still had tons of battery left. So.much.fun! Received bike with quick shipping, well packed. It came without locking front forks as advertised. I contacted seller and they explained the bike had changed for 2024. It did come with bottle holder and sleeve for the wires. The bike itself is very well balanced and powerful. I am 5'7 with the 31 and 1/2 in inseam. I have the seat at the lowest possible place. If anyone is smaller than I am, I think this bike may be too big for them. The handlebars are adjustable up and down which is nice. The brakes are simple cable disc brakes, not hydraulic brakes, so you have to really squeeze hard if you're going fast, but they do work. The motor is very responsive. It's super fast and powerful. Pedal assist is on or off, so hang on because it can surprise you with the power from level 3 and above. It has about 65 NM of torque so it is not going to be able to go up much of a hill, but it has a walk mode or pedal assist 7 gets you up a hill. Still, this is a terrific bike, well balanced ( easy to stand up on), good looking, comfortable to ride, easy to fold and portable. This is a great bike for the price. We put tire liners and green slime in because I don't want a flat. The tires themselves are decent quality. I received a cup holder which was a nice surprise and a nice wrap for the wires in the front, but these didn't make up for the nonlocking front forks they substituted for the locking ones (see photos). Overall, I am happy with the bike. I just wish advertisers would keep their ads updated! Update: I contacted the seller for some reimbursement for the downgraded forks and they said they would correct the ad. They also compensated me for their error, which I appreciated. This is a good looking bike and I'm having a ton of fun on it. ... show more

  • Great eBike!
Color: gray Style: Elias With Rear Bag
We have put over 200 miles on this eBike so far, and feel we are at a point we can write a proper review. We have three other eBikes of different models (including a tough, 26" fat wheel bike with 1000 watt peak motor), so we also have a good basis for making a comparison when reviewing this bike. To cut to the chase, this eBike is fantastic, and we highly recommend it! Keep reading if you want more details. For starters, this bike is mainly ridden by Jen who is 5' 4" tall. I've seen other reviewers complain about the handlebar height for shorter riders. She likes the geometry of this bike as-is. I took a close look at the handlebars, and it appears they can be shorted by about 1.5" by cutting some of the bottom off of the upper tube (thus also reducing its maximum height by about 1.5" as well), but she said that isn't necessary and she likes it as-is. We've put this bike through some grueling rides. Multiple 25 mile long rides on a Rails-to-Trails (nice very even grade) as well as a 12 mile ride that included a 1,400' elevation gain climbing a mountain and a 2 mile stretch of very rough hiking trail (Appalachian mountain style with big rocks and roots). The bike has handled it all with ease. Battery life: After 25 mile long rails to trails, as well as a 1,400' climb on a 12 mile ride, this bike usually has about 50% battery life remaining. So far we haven't been able to ride it long enough to deplete the battery. We also have another (more expensive) eBike that I mainly ride, and my battery has totally depleted on 3 of the same rides. So this bike really has great longevity. Power: The power on this bike is great. We have another eBike with 1,000 watt peak power, and the Hipeak outperforms it. Both when accelerating from a stop (like to cross a street quickly), or torqueing up a big hill. The power is very impressive and absolutely is the full 750 watts claimed, if not more. Pedal Assist levels: The PA levels on this bike (there are 7 of them) are really good. There are a good 3 levels for slower speed that are reasonable to pedal along with and cruise for long-distance. In comparison, my other (more expensive) eBike only has 5 PA levels, and huge complaint I have with that other bike is that PA 2 is way too fast, leaving only level 1 for long distance cruising. Fortunately this bike does not have that problem at all! Also as a side note, you can increase the maximum speed of the bike to 25 MPH in a special settings menu, which we did immediately just in case we need that extra speed on the road. Build: The bike is well made. The welds look good, it's solidly designed, the folding mechanism works good (I like the additional safety of having to pull up on the latch to release it after releasing the lever), the rear rack is really beefy and solidly attached to the bike. Quality: One really nice thing about this bike is all the extra "upgraded" bits. It has nice contoured hand grips, the seat is quite comfortable and decent width, there are three really nicely designed bungies built into the rack, the pedals seem good quality. In other words we haven't felt the need to upgrade anything so far, with the exception of adding a side mirror (we chose the option with the bag for the rack). Bag: The bag for the rack (we chose that option) is quite nice. It holds a good amount of stuff, and extends upwards if needed to increase the capacity. It also has saddle bags that can be unfolded on both sides to add even more storage. Lights: The lights are fine. The headlight has a very focused beam, whereas my other bike has a wider flood beam. I tend to like the flood beam better as it seems more useful for actually riding in the dark, but I'm sure some people like the more focused spot of the Hipeak light as well. If I had to find two negative things about this bike, and really, really nitpick, they would be: Brake light. When the lights are on, the taillight stays on all the time of course. However when you hit the brakes the additional illumination for the brake is very little. In other words, the brake light is barely brighter than the tail light, so it isn't noticeable unless you really pay close attention. When the lights are off then the brake light is nice and bright and obvious (compared to it not being on at all). Brakes: The brakes are mechanical, and it takes a good bit of squeezing to really engage them when descending something really steep. Hydraulic brakes would be a great upgrade, but at this cost point they are just mechanical, and work fine as far as mechanical brakes go. However that is one thing Jen specifically mentioned is how hard she has to pull the lever to brake down a really steep trail. To summarize, this bike is great, and we highly recommend it. From the build quality, looks and performance, we really, really love this eBike. ... show more

  • Stylish, Compact, and Powerful
Color: gray Style: Elias Standard
The bike is very solid and fits together easily. Nice e-bike with great power, shocks, and smooth ride. Easy and fast charging in bike or detachable. Also folds up nicely and fits in the corner taking up very little space. Owning an electric bike has opened up a world of possibilities for me and I'm grateful for the convenience, comfort, and pure enjoyment it brings into my life. ... show more

  • Bad customer service
Color: gray Style: Elias Standard
Nice bike, except front tire won't turn because rotor is warped so bad it can't spin. Seat has a tear in along with a dent on the back, and there's a big scratch on the plate that covers the controller. I've messaged customer service 4 times, and they won't reply.

  • Good ebike
It is a bunch of fun, and when folded together it is pretty compact. I can fit it into the trunk of a hatchback car. It's real zippy and looks pretty cool, too. Pretty good deal for the price. Interface is pretty intuitive; product quality is solid. I'd recommend this bike over others in a similar price range. Came with a different seat than the pictures, but I actually prefer the different seat it came with because it acts like rear suspension as if it has rear shocks. It just makes the ride that much more smooth. ... show more
