The plastic did crack easily from the pressure of putting the photos in, but they were not to visible so i ignored them. I used velcro command strils for mounting and that worked out great! Love the idea behind these but honestly they were a pain. Two of the matts were scrapped/ripped and damaged. I did like that there was no glass involved but taking apart all 9 of these to peel of double plastic was honestly a little annoying.
