The breadboard is quite small - about the size of a credit card. This is great for small, simple tests and projects with good wire management, but the large jumper wires included make it rather messy. I'm a bit confused as to why a 4.5 inch board is paired with 7 inch wires. The power supply is also sold separate - kit contains an Arduino compatible power module, but no outlet power supply, 9V battery connector, or 5V USB power connector. Outlet power supply (9V) will run you an extra $8. Kit is therefore unusable out of the box as a standalone. Inclusion of 9V battery connector, or a 3V connector (holds a pair of AA batteries) would bump this to a solid 5/5. Resistor diversity is useful, but oddly contains a large quantity (I believe 24) 220 Ohm resistors, while the other sizes (10, 100, 1K, etc) come in small quantity of 8-10, but this has not been problematic. LED array is great, a generous quantity of multiple colors. ... show more

Works great, I recommend it with the 37 a 1 sensor kit they sell excellent purchase for learning the tech but i’d recommend more research into there various products if you want something for creating a full project

Unfortunately the worst part about this breadboard kit is … the breadboard. If it weren’t for the abundance of useful/fun accessories I would have to give it a 2/5. The pins included with the kit can easily slip out without much force which can be pretty annoying. On a positive note, you get so much for what you pay which is what really makes this kit a good deal. That’s why it’s a 4/5 for me. ... show more

I like to selection of all the different components, they work well with the breadboard. UPDATE: I thought the included power adapter was kaput since the board looked like there was no led (compared to pics online, this may be newer version), HOWEVER I believe that maybe the AC/DC adapter I used to plug in over-ran the capacitors... so wait for them to discharge and maybe stick to only batteries for the barrel plug and try again, if you think you over-ran or short circuited the board! ... show more

I got my product about a week ago now, and unfortunately I haven't been able to use it yet because of a faulty power supply. I contacted their support and the support agent that helped me was absolutely fantastic, I was going to rate 3/5 stars, but the support agent was so quick and helpful that I honestly added a star to my overall review just because of them. The kid is great and well packaged. Once thing that was kind of weird is that the capacitors don't match their value. For example the 104, suppose to be 100nf but the reading on it is 50nf. My other 104s show the right value. Not a big deal as these capacitors are extremely cheap... everything else was perfect. ... show more

The breadboard and components seem to be decent quality. Unfortunately my power supply came in with bent pins from being loose in the box. The kit looks like it will be fun once I get a new one. Kind of disappointing considering I bought this kit, a couple extra parts kits, and the power supply cord, to not be able to use them. Update: I was able to bend the pins back down and get it to work. Honestly it just didn’t seem worth it to return everything over the power supply. If this one gives me any troubles I’ll probably just buy another kit ... show more

    • Great Kit. Even has more items than the Elegoo Mega 2560 starter kit.

This more than doubles most of the components you get with the Mega2560 kit. You get more LED's, even RGB LEDs. More resistors and capacitors, buttons, transistors and even some chips. This is great to either expand your kit or replace some of the missing parts. One of the things you dont get a spare of is the Tilt Ball Switch. One of my only gripes, and that includes a gripe with the original Mega 2560 kit is that certain electric components like the resistors and diodes have very thin leads. And once they start getting quite bent, they become almost impossible to insert into the breadboard. Also the potentiometers and buttons have such short leads that many times they wont even make contact with the metal parts inside the breadboard. I had to solder on some thicker wires and use that to insert into the breadboards. Besides this I think its a great value for the money. ... show more
