We have been trying an air mattress or using some pads when we visit our family cabin. This is superior to both. The air mattress slowly deflates and gets uncomfortable. The pads are fine, but aren’t that comfortable and are a bit more of a hassle to handle. This was amazing! The biggest downside is blowing it up. It has a foot pump that gives you a good workout, but once it was filled, it stayed filled. We spent a week at the cabin and I don’t think we really had to add more air in the whole time. It was more comfortable than any air mattress or pad we’ve tried. Deflating it was super quick and easy to put away in its little carrying bag. Now I keep it in the trunk of our car for just in case. comfortable and easy to deflate and put back in its small pouch. only problem was it took too long to inflate w foot pomp. I used an electric pump that inflated it in a few minutes. This double size fit perfectly in my 2 person pop up tent.

I've used this two Summers. I've never slept so comfortably while camping. My lab 70lb tried scratching and biting this air bed because he thought it was bubble wrap (it's his thing) you can see the scratch marks in the photo and the bed is unharmed and held air all night.     • A decent product overall, however it does not "self" inflate - didn't leak air though.
First off, this does not self inflate. It comes with a built-in air pump that you can press down on by hand or use as a foot pump. To forgo the 10 minute inflation time, we used an additional electric air pump which took about 5 seconds. We got it to add to our roof top tent since they all come with mattresses that need additional padding for comfort. The true down side to this mattress is that it acts like a standard air mattress - any time there is movement it has very distinct roll. Lay down hard enough and you'll shoot the other person clear off. This makes for a restless night of sleep. It is light weight and it holds air very well without leaking. I could see this working for some people in certain situations, but was unfortunately not the solution we were searching for. ... show more
