I had this lamp previously, but the off and on switch was in the power cord. Was looking to replace the lamp and purchased the same lamp, with the off and on switch up top. Unfortunately the shade comes down too low and it is uncomfortable to get your hand under to get to the switch. I have a small hand, so someone with a larger hand will definitely have a problem. I have to hold onto the lamp, so it doesn't tip while I'm trying to find the switch. ... show more

These lamps are so nice. Look great and great quality. The only downside is the shades don't stay straight. Any time you turn the lamp on or off or move it at all, the shade moves out of place. It's a bit frustrating.
