I was surprized that the smaller side boiled water too when it has max 300 watt power. The stove gets very hot when on max and it does cool down slow. Other than wishing my gas stove worked and I didn't need this I wouldn't change a thing. This is my 4th try at finding something that would boil water! IT DOES BOIL WATER RATHER QUICKLY! I didn't time it. Sorry. I was af aid Id forget again to leave my review so there it is! Definitely recommend!

This is the first stove top hot plate I've used so I didn't know what to expect. ...I found the directions easy to understand as well as using the stove top itself. It doesn't take up much space at all, and cooks just as good as a regular stove. The price is great, too! I highly recommend this one.

It works well it’s just very slow to cool down. Makes it hard to reduce temp while cooking if it’s getting too hot. You end up having to take pot off burner to prevent burning.
