It surprisingly has the ability to make the food super hot. It heats thick meats brilliantly. It also pays itself off quickly because I no longer have to pay $15 to $20 a day for quality food. Great concept but doesn’t work very well. For the price it’s not worth it. The battery does not stay fully charged long enough to heat your meal completely.

The media could not be loaded. It’s Ok. To be quick: heats up fast (30 minutes for 85C), can only warm up a meal one time. I’m not sure if it’s a hardware or software issue, but something is definitely wrong with the battery on this thing. As mentioned in numerous other reviews, the battery clearly is a flaw by the company. As you can see in my video, I disconnected and reconnected the lunch box from the charger, and the battery jumps back and forth from 10%. One meal and the battery is drained to 0. If you have 70% charge left, sometimes that’s not even enough to fully warm up a meal, you have to make sure to have it fully charged before leaving your home. ... show more

I waited with this review, to see first whether the battery maintains capacity despite being near a heat source. It appears that it does. Originally bought it since my wife's workplace had not enough microwaves. Now she works near me and at times we have lunch together on a picknick table nearby.
