  • Great Eraser
Color: Black Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Perfect in every way. I've bought 5 now, 2 for friends and 3 for myself (so I can have one loaded with the thin eraser and one with the regular eraser and one to put with my travel kit). The battery doesn't need frequent charging and I use the erasers a lot, often to add art effects. They are gentle on the paper and even remove most colored pencil very well ... show more

  • Already Impressive || Great Battery Life!
Color: Black Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Now, this eraser is just a delight. I'm a newly introduced college student for the arts and I always have to draw illustrations for class. But frankly, this eraser? I have never seen a more easy-to-use eraser that not only gets the job done but gets it done so much better than any other thing I've used. I've been an artist my entire life and I have daily wrist pain, so being able to use something that works by itself (I just have to hold it to the paper) helps my wrist so much, it's so bloody impressive. It removes pencil marks so much better than a normal eraser, too! I even had it in a bag - Which, my main gripe with this electric eraser is that the button may be a bit too easy to press because when it's in a bad or a pencil case, it will absolutely just start going off by itself, so that may need to be considered - and when it went off the entire time, it still has charge. The button is actually very fantastic, despite my gripe. While it is *very* easy to press, which makes it bad for bags or anything like a pencil case, it is insanely useful for when you're working because you don't have to hurt your hand whatsoever by holding it down with force. It's just a very simple little press and it spurs to life very easily. Again, really nice to my wrist and fingers. So not only is it built to be comfortable and forgiving to people like me with bad wrists, but it gets its job done insanely well - I'm frankly upset at myself for not owning this sooner. And the refills are insanely generous too for the price! PLEASE get this if you are an artist. You will *not* regret it. ... show more

  • Pretty unbelievable for the money
Color: Gray Size: 1 Pack
I'm a retired professional illustrator and professor who used to work traditionally before going digital. I'm getting back into traditional work, and my old Koh-I-Noor handheld no longer holds a charge (I've got replacement batteries on order and plan to fix it). In the meantime, I bought this device, and it's inexpensive enough to serve as a standby when I get my full-size Koh-I-Noor up and running again. SO when this arrived, I was immediately shocked at the size and weight of the box (meaning it's small). This is an *extremely* light device, most likely because the battery and motor inside are probably small. When I opened the box, I was again shocked at how small it is – about 2/3 the length of the Koh-I-Noor, and not nearly as wide. It arrived uncharged, so I charged it up and gave it a go. It is light, quiet, and does a good job. The erasers are much smaller in length and diameter than my old one, but they work great. I'm initially finding the smaller size to be a negative, but I'll probably adjust with use. Quite a few reviewers mention that the button is too sensitive and turns on too easily. Well, so is the professional-grade Koh-I-Noor's button – this is on purpose so that you don't have to strain and you can focus on your work. As a professional, I see it as a feature, not a fault. I don't think I'll ever have a use for the micro-sized smaller erasers, and can't even imagine them not flexing too much and/or breaking often – they're about the thickness of a color pencil lead. The larger size seems much more useful, but is still considerably smaller than the standard size you'll find in most click-style erasers. One important way of using electric erasers like this is to cut the end squarely so you have a sharp edge for maximum control. I used to do that by holding an x-acto knife against the spinning eraser and it would cut through leaving a perfectly clean, square edge in a second or two. This one doesn't have the power – the x-acto knife stalls the motor. Ah well – you can cut it by eye, but it may not come out as perfect. I did this and it worked just fine. So it seems to work fine to me. I have a couple of cordless pencil sharpeners from AFMAT which work great, get a lot of use, and have held up well for a couple of years, so I imagine this little guy will last awhile. If it breaks or fails at some point I'll update this review. $16... amazing. I think I paid about $180 for the Koh-I-Noor back in the early '90s – just checked and that's a bit over $400 in today's dollars, or about 25 of these mini-me devices. It's not a pro device by any means, but if it does a decent job when needed I'll be happy. ... show more
