I absolutely love this eraser! I remember reading some bad reviews and complaints that it wouldn't erase or wouldn't erase very well. I'm thinking that it's POSSIBLE those people may not have been using it correctly. It does NOT require a lot of pressure so my advice to those people is try not press down so hard especially to the point that the motor cannot spin. All you need to do is turn it on and lightly touch the paper and move it back towards you on the paper so that you are pulling the eraser against the direction that it is spinning. It works very well if you use it correctly. As I said earlier, I love this eraser. It does an amazing job! I love being able to use two different sizes of erasers. Erasers are not only used for getting rid of mistakes. The tiny/skinny erasers are excellent for detail work especially drawing eyes or teeth. It's a very useful tool to have in your arsenal of art supplies and the capability of charging it via USB is really great and if you need to, you can use it while it is charging. So far, mine has never died on me. Bottom line.... I love it and I would recommend this eraser to anyone who loves to draw or who is learning to draw. PS- there is one minor thing I would change about it... it would be nice to have a cap that fits over the power-on button OR a switch to lock it in the off position if you plan to store it loose in a pencil bag or something. I haven't had a problem because I don't travel with it. It stays on a shelf here I can easily reach it when I'm sketching. Putting it in a pencil bag with other stuff could cause it to turn on if something presses against it. Again, very minor problem but not one that would make me return it. Now, this eraser is just a delight. I'm a newly introduced college student for the arts and I always have to draw illustrations for class. But frankly, this eraser? I have never seen a more easy-to-use eraser that not only gets the job done but gets it done so much better than any other thing I've used. I've been an artist my entire life and I have daily wrist pain, so being able to use something that works by itself (I just have to hold it to the paper) helps my wrist so much, it's so bloody impressive. It removes pencil marks so much better than a normal eraser, too! I even had it in a bag - Which, my main gripe with this electric eraser is that the button may be a bit too easy to press because when it's in a bad or a pencil case, it will absolutely just start going off by itself, so that may need to be considered - and when it went off the entire time, it still has charge. The button is actually very fantastic, despite my gripe. While it is *very* easy to press, which makes it bad for bags or anything like a pencil case, it is insanely useful for when you're working because you don't have to hurt your hand whatsoever by holding it down with force. It's just a very simple little press and it spurs to life very easily. Again, really nice to my wrist and fingers. So not only is it built to be comfortable and forgiving to people like me with bad wrists, but it gets its job done insanely well - I'm frankly upset at myself for not owning this sooner. I actually gave this to my daughter for Christmas. She's an amateur artist, so I enjoy surprising her with new artist tools like this. She loves that she doesn't have to replace batteries for this device because it has a USB port for charging it. My daughter loves the different eraser sizes and the ease of using this tool. It's much better at erasing than a typical eraser and allows her more precision when creating detailed highlights in her drawings. The best part is that it even erases colored pencil! I didn't think it would, but she tried it and it did! It doesn't erase it completely, though, but it's enough for shading and creating highlights. Saw this on Amazon and thought electric eraser? Is that a thing?? Ordered it and came to my door the very next day. Actually I was doing a sketch when it came. Opened the box and started using it. It was already pre changed no less. In just a couple of seconds with this “magic wand” I had perfect highlights. Unbelievable!!! Comes with a small baggie of very small erasers and a bag of larger ones. Looks like this supply will last a while. One of the coolest gadgets I’ve purchased from Amazon Just this first hour of amusement has been with the cost of the electric eraser. And I’m sure I will get a lot of use out of it. I love this device. I can finally quickly expose the white of the paper under a layer of dark charcoal in an incredibly controlled way. You’ll feel as if you are sculpting and delicately cutting into the image with this tool.

Love it but the operating button is super sensitive and activates with barely a whisper of touch when picking it up to use it. It is almost impossible not to touch it so it is whirring away, lol. Strong motor fairly quiet for an electric eraser.
