The unit produces ice, but the writing is a bit difficult to understand. Once you figure out where the silicon pipe is in the reservoir, you'll be able to clear the error (clean cycle mandate, I'm happy that they have the feature that requires you to clean the unit). The silicon pipe on the reservoir is very important to reducing the ambient temperature inside of the housing, but the housing unit does not have good insulation so this means that if the temperature shows over 75-80+ degrees, you will have a very difficult time generating ice. This is not so much the fault of the mfg, but in my case, this ice unit was really close to the outside door in my laundry room. I had to go back in to that room and redo my door weather treatment and seal the room to help bring down the whole room's temperature. Eventually I had to put a swamp cooler in the room and MOST IMPORTANTLY one 20lb bag of ice from the gas station in to the empty chamber when you have a hot temperature. In my case, the error code shown was E2 and I thought I needed to have maintenance performed on the unit. However, while maintenance was the correct showing (for the cleaning cycle) ultimately I was able to just run 2 cleaning cycles, then clear my error code by having ice in the chamber and bringing down the ambient temperature in the room where this appliance is located. In reading some of the other reviews, I almost wonder the use case of the unit because I live in Texas in the middle of summer. It was 109 degrees on my patio today and on the other side of the door was this cooler... it still generated ice today, but only after the most robust weather treatment. YOU MUST ABIDE BY SCIENCE TO GENERATE ICE BECAUSE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE MATTERS :) I attached a pic to help you find the silicon pipe, its on the right side and I used a wooden chopstick (or maybe a toothpick) to get the silicon pipe to release from the top.     • Stopped working after 18 months

Worked great while it worked. Now water is not flowing. Checked inlet and there is no restriction in the line or filter. Spend more $ buy something better. I can’t even find a way to contact the mfg to try to get help.

Ok, I love this ice maker but there are a few quirks that need be known to those wanting to buy one. First, this is made to be hidden under a counter top or behind a bar. It’s kind of an eye sore sitting in the middle of my kitchen but I plain on building a shelve to hide it in. Second, the instruction pamphlet’s that come with the ice maker has a lot grammatical errors and are a little hard to understand. Especially the area pertaining to the timer delay portion of your ice maker. Third, on the first day I used the fill with external bottle technique and the ice came out crystal clear and tasted amazing. Had a full harvest within several hours but it used a lot of water making ice that way. I am an engineer so was able to tap into my fridge water line and add an inline filter for the supply line to ice maker. Now I still get the same amount ice as before but it’s not as clear as before. As a HVAC tech I know that this means there is possibly contaminates in the water or air. I guess one could solve this problem by investing in a good quality water filter. Fourth, and this is my biggest complaint. You can see by the pictures that I had to add an external pump to remove the water from the ice bin as the ice melts. This is not a cooler that holds the ice for days on end. I would have thought the manufacturer would have tried to reuse the water as it starts to collect at the bottom of the tank. This ice maker is made to be tied to a sewer drain line so that the melted ice water can be removed from the ice storage tank. I tried several different ways to drain the tank by hand but it makes a mess in doing so. I now use a water pump bought off of Amazon. The gravity fed water flows out of ice tank and into a small pump. I reengineered the pumps water outlet line to supply the unused water into my dogs water bottle. Again when I bought the unit I hoped the ice maker would reuse the water to make more ice but I was wrong. . So in conclusion I would say the ice maker performs to the quality as sold and I'm happy with my purchase but in a world where water is so precious I would like to see the melted water somehow get reused to make more ice. Also with the user manual please correct the grammatical errors and give a better description of operations on how the settings affect the operation of the ice maker. ... show more

I recently purchased this outdoor ice maker, and overall, I am quite satisfied with its performance. The ice maker is of good quality and is perfect for small spaces like under the bar. The size of the ice cubes is just right, providing a refreshing and enjoyable ice experience. However, I did notice that the ice machine doesn't keep the ice as cold as I would prefer. While it's not a deal-breaker, I would have liked it to be colder. Despite this minor drawback, the ice maker still serves as a great little addition to my setup. Unfortunately, I did encounter an issue with my item upon delivery. It arrived damaged, and I tried reaching out to the seller for assistance, but unfortunately did not have any luck in resolving the matter. This was a disappointment, as I was hoping for better customer support. In conclusion, this outdoor ice maker is a good quality product that fits well in small spaces. The ice cubes it produces are a nice size, although the machine could benefit from better cooling capabilities. However, my experience with customer support after receiving a damaged item left me unsatisfied. ... show more
