This was a gift for my grandson but of course you need 2 people to use them so his younger brother is happy to oblige :) They use them around the house and out in the yard and they work well. We haven't tested the distance yet so not sure how far away they can be from each other.

They’re very cute, but one of them didn’t work right out of the box. The blue one worked fine but the red one just makes clicking sounds. I tried to reach out to the company for a replacement but the email they provide for support came back “address not found”. I’d buy from a different company.
