First off, let me start by saying I use a Ryzen 7 5800x which runs VERY hot. Normal air cooled cpu coolers (yes, even the best ones) only could keep it at around 89c under cinebench load (stress tester), which is one degree away from throttling. HOWEVER, this AIO cooler has done much better, keeping my cpu around 10c or 50f less than any other cooler I’ve tried. Most people have to undervolt their 5800x to use it, with this cooler, I don’t. And i’m not even using all 6 fans. It’s amazing! Super easy to mount as well, rgb looks amazing, and if you keep your fan curve low it will be silent and still cool your cpu very well. I’d recommend 10x over! For the price it’s a steal ... show more

Really great 240 AIO. Construction and finish quality is top notch and much better than other mainstream AIO offerings. Installation was a breeze and couldn't be any more simple. Unbelievably quiet! I run my pump at 85% and it's absolutely inaudible. Looks amazing in all black. ARGB works perfectly. Also the packaging and instructions were really well done. I can't think of any downsides??? Edit: Ran Cinebench R23 three times straight, about 30 minutes of heavy CPU load. At 205 watts sustained, my CPU topped out at 73 degrees. Definitely a legit AIO. ... show more

I needed a new cooler to replace an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 on 7950x in a Lian Li Q58 due to it getting too warm and also because I could not close the side panel. This EK AIO has no reviews as of this review but I have built many custom loops with EK components before so I was comfortable with the brand. The packaging of the AIO and specifically the mounting hardware would put Apple to shame. It was a wonderful experience unboxing the cooler. For the fans, originally I planned on swapping them out and replace with Noctua IPPC 2000 RPM fans. Upon receiving the aio, I decided to keep the fans as is for multiple reasons. One these are RGB and have a custom 7 pin (PWM and aRGB) connector for daisy chain making cable management easier. The fans can run at full speed of 2400 RPM and pushes decent amount of air while staying remarkably quiet. Not Noctua-quiet but very close. Pump: the pump in this AIO is the only PWM pump in the market that I am aware of which makes EK unique. At 80% PWM the pump runs at 2900 RPM and is extremely quiet to the point I could not hear it even if Iturn off all the fans. The arctic liquid freezer II claims to have PWM pump also but that is false advertising as the only component that supports PWM are the fans. Performance: running Ryzen 7950x without undervolting or overclocking, fans at 2100 RPM (pretty quiet), CPU sitting at a cool 56 degrees C during a 10 min Cinebench R23 run, for which it scored 34K. Running the CPU with auto boost and PBO, fans at 2400 rpm (louder but not too bad), CPU settled at 82 C and scored 38K. The only issue I encountered is the threads on the radiator. Not all the mounting points are fully tapped and it took some force to use the screws as tap. ... show more

This aio right out of the box is premium quality. The waterblock itself is made of solid machined metals with a very nice finish you’ll notice right of the bat. So It does have a bit of weight to it compared to others on the market. Not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion but everyone has different opinions so keep that in mind. Fittings on the aio are also metal and appears to be screwed on so they are probably removable just like any other ek products are. The tubing is nice and sturdy looking and feels great. It does have a bit more stiffness to it compared to my other cooler. It is recommended to read the manual to install this aio because it has a unique mounting system compared to traditional brackets. Little bit different standoffs as well for both amd and intel. So you might need to change your intel backplate to use this cooler depending on the model of intel you have. Am4 uses the traditional backplate. The manual goes into easy to understand steps with pictures to help you with installation which is pretty nice. Everything about this product screams quality. My previous cooler was a kraken z73 360mm. Watching my temps compared to the other cooler I have been seeing a 5-10 degree difference so it definitely cools better and is way quieter than the kraken. Comes with 6 ek vardar rgb fans compatible with major motherboard lighting softwares such as mystic light, fusion rgb, and asus aura along with the rgb ek logo on the block. Should sync up with your rgb header perfectly. Reason it comes with 6 fans is for a push pull configuration if your case supports it. If not, well you got some extra rgb fans to throw in your case elsewhere or not use them at all if you wish. Killer deal if you ask me because they are great fans. Also comes with a fan/rgb hub for the fans and rgb to make it more convenient for you and keep your cables a little bit neater in your case. Very thoughtful of them. The aio also compared to others on the market has a refill cap on the radiator to refill it with water later down the line saving you some money in the long run. Other manufacturers don’t have that and basically forces you to buy a new one. Keep in mind that removing the radiator cap will void your warranty brand new so don’t do it unless needed. What’s also nice is the block comes with pre applied thermal paste and even a small tube of extra thermal paste for replacement later down the line. Also comes with extra hardware in case you loose a screw or two and some extra cables that look like extensions. So overall it’s a solid product so far. Now for the things I didn’t like that I’d like to see ek improve on. Depending on your ram, clearance might be an issue because of the fittings on the water block. I was running 64gb of rgb trident z neo 3600 mhz ram. I had to downgrade to 32gb because the 4th stick wouldn’t clear the fitting closest to the ram because of its cylinder shape. So unless you got high clearance ram, it will be an issue. Ek could have prevented that putting a flat clearance slot on the waterblock fitting closet to the ram. Now the only way around that would to rotate the block 180 degrees which would put your tubes in the other side of the ram. Which leads me to my other issue. It appears they designed the block to have the fittings next to the ram with the radiator tubes coming down the right side of your case instead of the left. I tried the left and the tubes are a bit too long for it to look good and if your ocd like me, the logo being upside down or facing the opposite way than it should be just bothers me. Ek could improve that maybe offering a left and right side variation, maybe little bit shorter tubes, and maybe do what other manufacturers do with a rotatable block to keep the logo where it should be. They could do a rotatable logo maybe too if the whole block rotation won’t work. Another thing I noticed is the fans don’t have rubber vibration dampers. You have to buy those separately from Amazon or ekwbs site which I think it’s kinda annoying as well. Didn’t really affect me all that much though because I have be quiet fans in my case. With those minor nitpicks aside, it’s a solid beautiful product, just needs a little bit more improvement to be perfect. Overall I’m happy with it and the compromise of having 2 ram sticks instead of 4 doesn’t affect me all that much. 32gb of ram is plenty for gaming. 64 might be a bit overkill for gaming but hey it looks good lol. I originally bought an Artic 240 cooler but it didn't come with the 1700 bracket and I wasn't going to wait 30 days for them to ship one out. Took a chance on this since I have an EK pump/res in my other build and its been perfect for the last 3 years. This current build is for a adobe workstation. Its running an i7 13700k and with this cooler while under Adobe load the avg temp is around 31C with a max so far of 42C. I haven't tried any games on it yet as that's not its purpose but may run some Apex eventually and see how the system fares. The packaging and instructions were excellent. Everything feels way higher quality than Artic and the instructions were great. All brackets were included as well. Definitely worth the extra 60$ over the artic. ... show more

Fantastic cooler. Just go into it knowing that there will be a lot of wires and you need 105mm or more of clearance in your case to use all 6 fans.
