  • No humidity gage
You will need to get your own humidity gage. Also the two water channels are both large and you may have to make the smaller one even smaller to keep humidity around 50%. The water distribution system is once though as you typically only refill it every week.

  • Nice?
Ok. So I didn't get to do my chicken plan so I didn't get to test fertilized eggs for real on here. But I do like that it has dc in and includes a cable with alligator clips for a battery as well as standard AC power cord, even if it's maybe a bit short it's not stupidly short like some USB cables lol. It does mention to keep the Styrofoam in the box for improved use... I feel like if that was an intentional design choice or should be clearly marked inside the box to not remove it... Because otherwise it looks like any other trash Styrofoam meant only for shipping. But it's a fairly thin plastic so yeah probably doesn't hold temp well without the help. It includes bottles for humidity but doesn't include the gauge to go with it... Everything else seems to work from what I can easily test. I probably would buy this exact version again... But a lot of them don't look that much better so. ... show more

  • Hatches in the first batch
Our grandson loves the incubator. His first attempt resulted in two turkey poults!

  • Total Ripoff
I know seeing this incubator in the picture and the price makes this look like a great deal. Then you get it. 1st when you open it you find it is missing 2 of the rollers so they can sell them to you for $14 more. 2nd Then you don't realize it but it comes in a Styrofoam box. You take it out to see this piece of cheap junk that looks way cheaper in real life than the picture. I know as long as it does the job right? 3rd because you have been watching videos on incubating you know to buy a Govee thermometer/hydrometer because incubators are inaccurate. And then you get your eggs. This thing is up and down and can't hold a temperature no matter how hard you monitor it. I probably won't see one egg hatch with this piece of junk. They shouldn't be allowed to sell it. Now I am not only out the cost of the incubator, but because I trusted it would work I am out another $45 for 30 quail eggs and shipping. Buyer if you read this and still buy it, you get what you deserve. ... show more

  • Doesn't work very well!
Doesn't heat up as expected!

  • And Then There Were 12
This incubator worked great for us. We now have 12 more baby chicks on our farm. It kept proper temperature the whole 21 days. It has a built in counter. It rotates the eggs. And after 21 days, we have baby chicks.

  • Didn't love but didn't hate
I have missed feelings. I returned this item but may have been premature in doing so. I think the hatch failure was more me than this but it doesn't have any humidity gauge and I think it could have been why all eggs died.

  • Works
Egg Incubator, Egg Incubator with Automatic Egg Turning and Automatic Water Addition, Incubator for Chicken Eggs, 12-16 Eggs Incubator with Egg Candler, for Duck Eggs Quail Eggs I ordered this egg incubator on May 17th and it arrived on May 19th, pretty quick, shipped via USPS, left at our front gate with a couple other items I had ordered. It arrived intact and undamaged. I acquired a smaller egg incubator a couple weeks ago, was my first attempt at incubating chicken eggs. I quickly realized that the small egg incubator is too small. Reason being my niece owns/lives on a working farm but used the eggs for personal consumption and giving away to family and friends. She wakes early to take care of farm chores before leaving for work every day, and was not able to sort which eggs were being left for chicks and which eggs were harvested for consumption. Until I made a suggestion that she simply use a permanent marker to date whichever egg she wanted to leave for future chicks. Next issue was some of the hens wouldn’t warm the eggs if they had been disturbed, thus the first egg incubator. Fast forward to present with my helping around the farm while she is gone for the day, with my niece allowing me to organize some projects, one of which is expanding their flock and enlarging the chicken coop - thus Raising Chickens 101, with my realizing that the easiest way to expand the flock is using an egg incubator, and now acquiring a slightly larger one. So the raised chicken coop has been enlarged (with help from a friend that is a carpenter), and in fact repositioned the chicken coop for better sun exposure and easier cleaning and maintenance. So now nothing is being wasted, have enclosed a vegetable garden in the outside run but the flock is let out during the day to free range, which works out really great. I’m able to collect the eggs every morning once I entice them out with food, then clean the coop, collect the manure for drying, which is later shared with family and friends. The fit and finish of this egg incubator is nice, no sharp edges or burrs, everything works, does rotate every 90 minutes, does automatically maintain correct temperature and humidity, is plugged into an UPS. The farm does also have ducks but am not considering enlarging the duck flock, are kept to manage slugs and snails, so will not be incubating duck eggs right now. The plan is to sell the chicks as they hatch in order to pay for the chicken feed and other supplies. At present, the way the farm was being run, was not profitable but instead operating at a deficit. My plan is to become sustainable and waste nothing. The suggested MSRP for this egg incubator is about the average selling price. Everything works as advertised (at the time I tested it), am giving it a 5 Star rating, will revisit and adjust if there is a problem. I doubt it will be accidentally damaged since it is being setup indoors. ... show more
