  • Reasonable for an item that will only be used occasionally
Exactly as pictured. I do like the feel of the weighted head that puts the center of gravity towards the tool side. Handle feels nice and comfortable. The material is a bit on the soft side when I used it on a big chunk of quartz ore. This will be used as a backup.

  • Great Value for the Occasional Rockhound
Bought this at a great price because rockhounding is an occasional hobby for us and not a regular pursuit. I compared it with a much more expensive version. It appears this one may deform ever so slightly more than the more expensive models, but then I have no doubt it will provide years of use without an issue. If you are a serious rockhounder, then buy the more pricey models. But for a hobbiest use or someone just getting into rockhounding, you can't beat the price (and thus the value) of this hammer. ... show more

  • Strong
I have been breaking up rocks for new pond landscaping. No problems, makes me feel strong, haha

  • Perfect for the job
The casting is a bit rough but does the job, for the price is hard to beat.

  • Loose handle, terrible casting
The casting on this is SUPER ugly. The handle was slipping off first day of using it. However, its a hammer and it does hammer things just fine for now. If I could do it again, I'd just bite the bullet and get a more premium made in USA pick with a wooden handle.

  • Gets the job done
I definitely hit things that were way too hard for this thing to handle and this thing handled I t like a champ. Especially great for rock hounding, or just cracking rocks open. I wouldn’t recommend as a general hammer.

  • Bang for your buck
Love this geopick. Finally got to use it, and it works exactly as its intended to work. Has a few noticeable bumps after its first use, but thats to be expected. I was hitting a rock, after all.

  • Kids liked using it
Seemed a bit short for an adult but my kids liked using it. I used to frame houses so I'm used to longer hammers. It work good and broke rocks.
