I got this to replace my old one that the plastic handle broken on. Unfortunately, the metal side was not pinch in enough so the handle comes out. I got it before canning season so it’s too late to return. Maybe I’ll try contacting the company since it is a manufacturing and quality control issue.

The handle broke off as I was lifting a hot jar out of my canner, causing it to crash to the floor, and shatter spewing salsa all over my kitchen. Very disappointing that it broke the first time that I used it.

These tongs are very useful when canning produce. They helped me lift 14 jars out of the hot water bath with no problem. Very sturdy and secure grip of the hot jar.

Had the top handle pop out while I used it the first time. Bent it so that it fit the handle better and was careful with it after that. Usable but watch it.

It’s okays, however, it doesn’t grip well. I have dropped a jar back into extremely hot water and was splashed because of it. I will purchase one that grips better for next year.
