  • So far so good
This until met all our expectations and is reasonably priced.

  • Great alternative to traditional or propane-tankless water heaters
Excellent alternative to the large, expensive, propane tankless water heaters. It functions very well, and the water coming out of the tap or shower is hot very quickly, even with the cold ground water we have here in the mountains. You never have to worry about running out of hot water either! It does draw a large amount of electricity when running though, so be sure your house's grid can handle the extra pull without tripping the breaker all the time. ... show more

  • Not useful for a shower
I bought this product to use to heat up water for a shower and jacuzzi. The flow rate is so low that the shower can't even stay on and the water temperature is lukewarm. I'm taking it out.

  • Works great. Instant hot water!
We needed hot water to two sinks in our 2000 sq foot church building and this did the job! Instant hot water! No complaints from me. 👍

  • Fantastic! Unlimited hot water for our small home.
This product takes some getting use to. We had to change the way we used out hot water to maximize its effectiveness. If we are able to use it within our guidelines we can experience unlimited hot water. Disclosure, we live in a 2 bedroom / 1 bath home 800 sq/ft with 3 occupants. Hot water fixtures: 2 sinks, 1 shower/tub, clothes washer. Our unit is 2 years old and going strong! Here are the things we've discovered: 1. When installing make sure you have it wired into a circuit breaker that accommodates the massive amps required, its a lot. I t wouldn't be a bad idea to make sure your Amp service at the main is 150amps. If you have 100, you will need to not dry clothes at the same time. (I could be wrong on this) 2. When you don't have it operating at full temperature 140 your lights will flicker a bit, this is due to the way the unit regulates the heat. It has not caused any damage over time to anything in our home. We simply use it at full temperature most of the time. We turn it down for our child to shower. Changing temp it also very easy. 3. Put a valve on the cold water side in order to regulate water flow into the unit. This will help you figure out the max flow in your home. The max flow on the box and specs IS NOT what you will be able to run through it. 4. Set the flow to the largest water usage device. We turned on the bathtub and messed with the previously mentioned valve until the water coming out of the tub was max temp, which was the max flow for the unit. (you may need to readjust from summer to winter) 5. If you run any more water through the unit than it can heat effectively, it will barely even warm the water. DOESN'T means its broken, just needs fine tuning. 6. We only run 1 hot water fixture at a time. It only took a few times freezing in the shower to remember this as habit. My greatest advice is to NOT buy a unit any smaller than this. Purchase the unit with the highest GPM rating you can afford and you will be happier. Actual GPM for max temperature is about half of what it says it can do, and from my research this is ALL brands. When I need to replace this one I will buy a more powerful unit. I hope this helps. Buy it, you'll love it. ... show more

  • I rarely say I hate something. But I hate this water heater
I rarely say I hate something. But I hate this water heater. It does give us very hot water, and that's the only reason it gets two stars instead of one. Whenever the hot water is running, we hear loud rrrr, rrrrr, rrrr in the rooms near the water heater (bedroom, bathroom, hallway). Whenever the hot water is turned on, every light in the house flickers the whole time until the water is turned off. The contractor did get the proper permits to have this water heater installed, and did a load calculation on the electric draw. The inspector approved the inspection as properly done, so I have to think there's something very unsatisfactory about the unit itself. Very very unhappy with this; I HATE IT. ... show more

  • Hot Water Heater.. Just a HOT MESS.. FAIL! Dont buy this..
FAIL.. I connected this to just one Showerhead.. it was new. I spent $20,000 remodeling my bathroom with the shower being the most important part and reason for the remodel. I bought this unit and had it installed. At best I have nicely warm water.. there is no way for me to get HOT water from a hot water heater. It isn't anywhere near 140 degrees. And in talking to the customer service with EEMAX, they just said take it to Lowes, not our problem. But yet they say it is enough to heat a shower head and a sink.. Make sure to buy one rated .. more than enough... way more than enough than you made need.. and make sure it is another company.. not one associated with this one. ... show more
