Description

Happiness is a well-behaved dog. The Educator K9-802 B37 K9 Handler 1-mile 2-Big Dog training collar with remote on a 37" bungee collar is a tactical e-collar known as "The Boss" includes thick hair contact points. Thick hair contact points are generally for German Shepherds, working dogs like the Doberman or Belgian Malinois. The K9-802 is loaded with features making it the most versatile working dog remote available. Proprietary “blunt stimulation” for superior results at low level stimulation, yet the K9-802 receiver has the highest stimulation of remote trainers when needed. Our unique COS (control of stimulation) technology provides clean stimulation without the head jerking found in other training collars. The tapping sensation is similar to vibration, but more intense, includes a Pavlovian tone making it a clean, effective stimulation. The user sets level of boost stimulation between 1 and 60 or default to 20. The ergonomic stopwatch style transmitter allows you to watch your dog, controls a night tracking light to locate your dog after dark. System includes waterproof floating transmitter remote with lanyard and belt clip, two waterproof receivers, two 37" bungee collars, rechargeable lithium polymer batteries charge in just 2 hours, battery charger, test light, four contact points (2X 5/8" and 2X 3/4"), contact point installation tool, and hard carrying case. • The most effective blood pressure reducing tool ever created.
Size: 33" Collar Style: 3/4 Mile 1 Dog
I previously ordered the Garmin Delta XC, and even up to nearly 50% of it's power level, my pup was in full distraction mode on our first session in the yard... While the quality of the remote felt great, the tool just wasn't doing its job. I sent it back and went with this thing. Only 3-days in and my pup is already showing Service Dog potential without losing a fraction of her tail-wagging spunk! Some notable differences: - The exterior shell of the remote in hand doesn't feel as tactile or grippy/soft as the Garmin did. Considering the significantly higher price-point, this was a little disappointing at first. - The K9-400 collar design has a buckle that works fast & smooth, making it comfortable for your pup - Unlike the Garmin, which had a buckle that took some extra finesses, making it a bit of an uncomfortable ordeal for my pup. The bungee loop on the K9-400 is a nice touch too. - Battery life has exceeded my expectations... it charges ultra quickly too. I thoroughly appreciate the dust covers on the device and remote that cover the ports. - The buttons on the remote are intuitive, straight-forward and easy to get used to. The ridges along the edge are smartly placed to stand the remote in various positions, as well as allowing you to "feel" which buttons you're on without looking (an instrumental benefit when trying to prevent your pup from associating the remote with the onset of stimulation). - The hold feature on "saving" the level of stimulation is a massive plus as well. It's very easy to accidentally turn the dial and change the level. - The Boost Stimulation function, also a big winner when you want to really make a point - like "get out of the street!". A great, great feature for times of need. - Activating the collar is quicker and more convenient too with its unique magnetic red-dot alignment method. It takes less than a second to tap the red dot on the remote against the red dot on the collar (when already on your pup) to get it activated for use - massively more convenient than having to wedge your fingers under the device, press and hold a button for it to turn on. It's the little things like this that make it functionally superior by helping your take advantage of every learning opportunity quickly! - The LED blink and steady-on features on the device make for a great way to spot your pup if training in a dark yard. - While my Golden ignored the Garmin entirely at up to 50% level, she's quickly and positively responding to this unit at a level 12 of 100. I got her started up to 15 on her first day of training, but kept gradually reducing the stimulation level while making sure I'm getting the same response from her. For perspective, I thought using the Test Button, which simply administers a cell-phone style vibration tap, would be potentially less harmful for her. And yet, the Test tap surprises her more than a stimulation, prompted her to freak out a bit and run in circles. This gives me the feeling that a 12-15 level of stimulation is just enough for her to notice, and yet not enough to disrupt her negatively. - The box it came in with all additional accessories makes this kit a major win. I have a keen appreciation for a well-organized, self-contained enclosures when it comes to electronics. - Reduces the necessity for confrontation, helping your dog take direction from you, incrementally enriching their relationship with you. Should you train with an e-collar? That's up to you. For me, it's been life-changing. A tool like this can help cultivate a non-aggressive and loving relationship between your pup and yourself. When persistent disobedience leads to consequence(stimulation), your pup quickly learns to course-correct and seek the positive reinforcement that their good behavior alternatively leads to. Long gone are the days of raising your voice, creating tense confrontation and making your pup feel cornered and defensive (which leads to self-preserving aggression in our canines), all because you want her to spit something out that can harm her... Ultimately, the effectiveness of this tool depends on you. Meaning YOU will need to be savvy enough to prevent your pup from associating the collar with stimulation. In other words, be clever with secretly handling the remote, randomly placing the collar on her without turning it on, etc. Vary your methods to prevent your pup from associating these together, because as you know, the smart ones will game the system which would then make this a failed and wasted effort. Nobody wants a pup that's e-collar dependent all their life, behaving well ONLY when its on. Be smart about it and enjoy training! ... show more

  • This is the best purchase that you do for your pup
Size: 33" Collar Style: 3/4 Mile 1 Dog
A good e-collar is the only tool that is needed for dog training. Need a perfect recall? This is the tool. Your dog tries to jump every bicyclist or a car? This is the tool. You need to make your dog to respect your kitten? This is the tool. Your dog chews all your garden hoses? This is the tool. However, not all e-collars are equal. Buy only the one that has a continuous stimulation option and two level stimulation. Buy Educator, you wont regret it. ... show more

  • Very important stuff for the inexperienced to read...
Size: 37" Collar Style: 1 Mile 1 Dog
Things phenomenal. I could show you the 8 other $20-$49 versions but I’ll just say this thing works the same at several foot ball fields away as it does 2 feet away from the remote. I’m not into hurting any animals and I learned by doing it to myself first that it doesn’t hurt them so Much as it scares them. The remotes great for two buttons. One literally shocks for less than a split second, it’s great. The second button (I believe the red S, will go for as long as you hold it). There are times this maybe needed like when you’re like me and have a fresh and new below the knee amputation and I don’t walk well yet, am in constant pain and if my CANE CORSO decides since I can’t get close enough to him that he’s in charge someone or an animal could die. This button prevents that, and he instantly sprinted 600 yards to be in between my legs and continue to lick and kiss me. Dogs are smart but they need to be taught with constant dedication and consistency. This device helps any owner do this. It vibrates and lights up and also makes a sound I believe. I bought it for 3 reasons, it’s the BEST, water doesn’t ruin it and the range on this one is 1 MILE!!!! And if you truly believe if a dog fight were going to happen and a 6 month old 90lb CANE CORSO is going to hear you and follow instructions like he has since ten weeks old, you’re wrong. My experience with all of my dogs is that at six months to a year you either keep them trained to want to stay by your side and obey all commands (without bribery aka food) or you end up with a dog who thinks he’s in charge and listens when he feels like it. That’s a problem when you have a CANE CORSO for a couple reasons. 1- he has the second strongest bite force per PSI out of all the dogs in the world at 700psi. Pit bulls for instance have a bite force of 235 psi or so with a locking jaw. So this is akin to having a loaded weapon with a mind of its own. Dogs aren’t inherently fighters, bitters or attackers. This is all taught either DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. Which is why this training tool and back up safety device for everyone was worth my writing a review. I forget what the other was in cleaning house. ... show more
